Basically the termination charge will fall and porting will be easier.

Why do I think that we'll see other charges rise, and 18 month contracts vanish, with 24 and 36 month contracts to become the norm, as well as paying more for a phone.

Does anyone know why Three has such a larger termination charge than other UK mobile networks?

I think that 24 month contracts will become the norm, can't see many people signing up for 36 month contracts because of the relatively cheap prices of SIM only handsets.

I'm worried that the 30 day rolling SIM only contracts may disappear although with smaller operators coming into the marketplace this may not be the case.

A year ago you's have said this about 18 month contracts, with 12 months being the norm..

I can't ever see a time when I'd sign up for the same phone and tariff for TWO YEARS, anything can happen in that time! I'd rather go PAYG or SIM only and pay out for the handset.

... and why after months of their mendacious Terminate the Rate campaign, they've increased the price to new customers of their outgoing calls to 25 pence a minute, a jump of over 100% from the 12 pence of not long ago?

Yes, I saw Three's Terminate the Rate campaign.

Unless I've missed something, is it not incredibly hypocritical? Calls from non-Three networks to Three are higher than calls to other mobile networks. This would be due to Three's more expensive termination charge, would it not?
