Hi,
I'm currently a standard Hotmail user (have used Hotmail for over 11 years now) and have always found it good.
I'd like to be able to use Outlook Express with it, and understand that I must upgrade to Hotmail Plus, which costs £14.99 - this is fine, I'm not fussed about £14.99 for this functionality.
The next thing, is do you still get the lame advertising 'signature' on the bottom of all outgoing emails? This cheeses me off to silly levels, and if Hotmail Plus doesn't get rid of this, I'll reconsider this choice.
Cheers, and let me know,
Sam

I use outlook express for my hotmail, you don't have to upgrade for it.Out of my mind. Back in 5 minutes.0

Some users of hotmail can still use it via outlook express, I had most of my hotmail accounts before microsoft aquired it.
I however use my hotmail.co.uk accounts via thunderbird and windows messenger.
You don't have to pay to use it.0 -
I'm trying to erradicate all advertising from my outgoing emails.
On the Upgrade.MSN.com page, it states no*graphical* adverts - can anyone confirm that you do NOT get adverts on your outgoing emails.
Regards, and a Quick reply will get a thanking

My firewall blocks all adverts and images.0 -
Yup, so does mine, but MSN Hotmail adds an annoying little 'signature' onto the bottom of all outgoing messages - highly unproffessional.
I've just paid to upgrade - does it take a time to kick in, because at the moment, I have just done a test email, and I get this at the bottom of my emails:
" Download the new Windows Live Toolbar, including Desktop search! http://toolbar.live.com/?mkt=en-gb "

I've been using Hotmail through Outlook Express for years for free. I just sent myself a test email to another (my domain name) account to see if I get any messages added at the bottom. I don't. I haven't got any software blocking images/adverts in emails, they are just not being added to my Hotmail emails. I've never realised they were added to some peoples outgoing mail. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Do excuse the blond moment of mine earlier...
All working fine now... slightly against the MS tradition, but £15's not bad
