E7 broadband refund... or not

Did anybody else, like me, stick with E7 until the bitter end on the basis that they said their broadband service would improve.
If so, have you had your refund yet? It has been a month since I applied for my refund and I have had nothing, not even a courtesy email to tell me what is going on.
I feel like a bit of an idiot now, should have taken the MAC code in January and run! I have most of a year's contract to be refunded and have no idea how to even contact E7 now. Any advice anybody?
Have since moved to Madasafish and finally have reliable broadband which is fantastic! Shame they won't host existing domains tho...
Also E7 are now trying to charge £85 to move free domain I registered to a new provider. I don't think so!! I will let that domain disappear into the ether I think.
I shall stop now.

If you paid by credit card, you should have no problems getting your money back (lots of people have done this). READ THIS THREAD.
It may also be worth having a look at THIS E7 BOARD over at ADSLGuide. There are LOTS of people in the same situation as you.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

A cc company is jointly liable for losses if its over £100 for what I have been informed.0

That's true, but under CCA74-S75, you can also claim back any additional charges incured because of the loss of your E7 service.
QUOTE.........
The claim is not limited to the amount of the credit card transaction. Customers can claim for all losses caused by the breach of contract or misrepresentation.
In theory, this means that if you've had to pay another supplier a connection fee because you couldn't get a MAC from E7. You can also claim back for this amount. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Can you claim that from the cc company Rex or the company? If its the company and they went bust, then as I am sure you aware us poor customers (not me a happy Zener like you) would be low down on the pecking order for creditors

It really is a personal choice. For anyone in this situation, and with the way that E7 have acted, I don't even think it's worth following them up. As this law states, it is a free choice of whether to pursue the CCC or E7. Better to get a refund from the CCC, then let them chase E7 (they will have far more clout). How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

E7 refunds. Further to earlier messages glad to say that my credit card company has now refunded the fee for the outstanding year on my e7even contract. So if like me you have not heard anything from e7even apart from recorded phone messages and a standard e-mail reply where they “apologise for any inconvenience caused” it may be worth your while to try your credit card company. Afraid it does not work for debit cards/switch as your claim is under Section 75 of The Consumer Credit act 1974. See conditions at https://www.oft.gov.uk/news/press+releases/2004/186-04.htm you will need to prove that your contract had still got an outstanding period to run, so hunt out your sign up/registration document. Good luck..0

I submitted my claim to Barclaycard a few weeks ago and have just returned from honeymoon to find a letter asking me to contact the company first! Has anyone successfully managed to get a refund via Barclaycard please?
Thanks for your help. Will see what else I can find on the forum too...0
