Wi-fi at Butlins, Minehead?

Anybody know if they've got? If so, is it free or chargeable?

Yes they do have it, but you cant get it in all the accomodation - you may need to venture towards the skyome. IIRC it's chargable

Any idea of cost?

Otherwise I can get an O2 mobile internet dongle for £10 and then its £7 for 500Mb over a week PAYG.

I have a caravan at Butlins Minehead and this is what we have been told in our news letter.

Many of you are aware that a Wi Fi internet system was installed at the resort for guests, caravannners and team members to gain access to the internet . Unfortunately the system that was installed was in adequate and unreliable , constantly breaking down. We have now dispensed with the services of the company supplying the Wi Fi system. In the short term until we source a new Wi Fi internet provider we have created internet hot spots around the resort which are free to use . The nearest hot spot to the Caravan Park is at the Highway Man Pub.

Thanks. We're actually staying in caravan 14 which, if I remember correctly is close to the pub.

Have you tried it from a caravan yet?

There Saturday!

Funnily enought though I cant get hold of the caravan owner at the moment. It says to pick up keys from gate. Is this what people do?

Yeah at the moment it is the East gate, which is past the front of Butlins , past the funfair and turn right past the new Blue Skies building.

This is changing after the Easter period and will be go in the main gates, go to reception for keys/car passes and then go back out to the other entrance.

A right pain !!

I went to a 18+ big weekend on the 19th March this year. Took my laptop and got Wifi. I was staying in the silver apartments which were quite far from the pub.

Didnt pay anything for it

Owners here. Were you aware that the next three weeks at Minehead were taken up by the Spring Harvest festival and that facilities were limited during this time?

Just been this weekend and were disappointed to discover this. Owner said he didnt know about it until a few weeks ago (but still decided to keep our money and not tell us!)
