ISA help please

I've got £3,600 in my A&L isa if I add £5,100 in on april 6th will I get that at 3.5% or 3.2% or is that only for new accounts? am I better of transferring it?

  • Hi

I invested £5100 in the A&L flexible ISA (3.5%) and rang up yesterday to ask whether I can add to this in the new tax year.
They said I could put in another £5100 but couldn't transfer in funds from another ISA. They said I would get the 3.5% rate so will wait until next week to see if they honour this (though even 3.2% is pretty good).

    Regards
  • if you opened the isa at the 3.5% flexible rate then you will get 3.5% rate on your new isa contribution of £5100 - i work for a and l and can confirm this is correct
