30 day rolling contracts

I've been out of contract for a couple months with Orange. I usually have a bill of about £50 per month. I think Im on about 600 mins a month and unlimited texts. I also have a bolt on for internet.
I was going to get an iPhone as my iPod has bitten the dust. It could have doubled up as phone and music player. However, my wife has one and I don't know if the battery life is what I need. I use the phone as my work mobile. It get s a lot of use and if I use it as music player as well, I don't know if the battery would hold out. Also, getting a 32gb 3GS will cost over a couple hundred up front. For that I could buy a 64GB iPod Touch which is more like the size of music player I would need given how much music I have. It does everything the iPhone does bar the actual phone bit.
For the phone I was looking at doing one of those 30 day rolling contracts that seem good value.
1. Do Orange do these sort of deals?
2. What should I expect to get?
3. Do any come with internet deals?
4. Can you keep your own number?
Would need a new phone too. Have had Sony Ericssons the last while and like them. Any cheap ones that do 3G stuff? Don't need any fancy Internet, if I could use the Orange home site say to check sports scores and get into email account that'd be fine.
Cheers.

1. yes they do theyre called sim only they're on the orange website
2 all the deals are on the website
3you can add on an internet bundle exactly as you currently do or I think 30pm internet is inclusive
4 yes theyll just change you over to the sim only packageYes Your Dukeiness0 -
Can I just point out that the deals you will get will be far superior to the current deal you have with you full contract. By not taking a new mobile phone, they will use this to offer you a much improved deal.0
