Ten jobs to do today....fair bit of driving involved but nothing too drastic. Throwing kids in the car and calling it a day out :D

At last! My local 'egg shops' (sans eggs) have finally come up!

However, I was thinking... I go in both of them regularly and some of the cashiers know me. And the job includes an overt audit, so I'll be 'coming out' as a mystery shopper. Won't that mean I can't do those particular shops again?

So I was thinking, perhaps, go for one or two of the other local ones but that are a bit further away so I don't normally shop in them?

Most, if not all, MS co's state that they dont want you to shop where you know or are related to the staff.

Good point. I mean, it's not like any of them know my name or anything, but we recognise each other's faces.

Well, I've only got time to shop one of them, and I've found one I've visited a few times near where I used to live, so that seems like a good choice. I'll be less nervous if I'm generally away of the layout of the store!

The main viewpoint is that the clients want an impartial view, I have even seen jobs in the past that state you must not be a "regular" customer of that store.

If there is a chance that the visit has not been impartial and the client brings it up with the MS co, you risk not getting paid.

    Thanks.

the store I've applied for is one I haven't visited for several years and I sincerely wouldn't recognise any staff there so that should be fine.

I wouldn't do the ones where you are known as the service will be different to what a "normal" customer gets.

It might cause problems once you have outed yourself too. I used to do our local discount supermarket and you had to reveal yourself after the till transaction and the manager came and gave a refund for your shopping. I got known in our local and stopped shopping there for non-MS reasons as one particular till operator shouts "ooooh look it's the mystery shopper" when she sees me and asks loud mystery shopping questions while I'm trying to pay and all the other customers and staff stare at me. It's so embarrassing so I don't shop there anymore :o

Just the one audit for me today, but I was at boot camp at 8am, then did the audit, so I'm knackered already :o
Here I go again on my own....

Yeah, thanks, the more I thought about it the more I realised that! Though I wasn't anticipating THAT much of a problem! Poor you. :-(

I was really just trying not to waste petrol on going to a shop further away if I didn't have to, but the one I've chosen (I'm only going to have time to shop one) is at least only 4 miles away.
