I have recently had one of the awful days where everything goes wrong as a few others have had recently:eek::eek:

What a nightmare - and for the shop with awful customer service they have decided to pick and query every bit of the report they can to discredit it - hmmmmm :( remind anyone here of another company who always do that?

Anyway tomorrow can only get better :):):)

has anyone had any of their reports graded by REACT yet? I've only had a cinema one marked and I got a 7 but I read the guidelines about how points can be taken off the full amount and was really hoping to see what they think I didn't do to only get that mark. I left the report until the next morning as was not home until gone midnight so I hope that's not the reason I had points deducted as it was still completed well within the deadline.

Yes had a few graded and cannot make head or tail of the grading... so not much help there! Some very great detail and specifics lower grade than others which are a bit "thin".

    Perhaps others can enlighten us?

thanks i went to do the test straight away but did not need to do it as i had done the same scenario and test for a different branch last week (max is 3 visits this wave).
Ive always had to do the test for every job even if even if I have more than 1 of the same type:cool:

when it comes to the reveals ive not done any where i have had to yet at the end of the visit (ie the electricals). but i have done audits at the cinema (not as if they know who I am as the manager refuses to ever see me or the letter) and i also do ms for a different company at the same cinema. ive also done jewel audits with a letter and ms the cafe in same store on the same day.

as for the crisps got reinstated by company and was my worst experience last week. had a visit 50 mile round trip from home to cover one for them (my trial now I am reinstated) and there were about 9 members of staff standing around next to me. then not having done these before (and did not have the letter - it was covert) I had to bend down to bottom shelves to pull out the crisps as could not see what they are. about 30 plus like it.

I am now as mobile as I can be (back surgery in past) but I cannot go down on my knees without excessive pain and needing something to hold onto to pull myself back up. anyhow realised these jobs are not for me then I ended up escorted off premises by staff so horrid visit :( really embarrassing... thank god i dont know anyone in that town! lol

I emailed company and got my local one cancelled as I am not prepared to hurt my leg and back for the fee and I do not want to be escorted out of my local one as I shop there each week. I was not impressed with the response from said company as I was told there is not bending down or stretching to get the crisps as you can just tilt camera (i.e. they think I am lying or something... as if I would make up this as I can't bend so well nowadays as I don't even like people knowing anything about it... don't mind in here as you lot don't know me. when I was struggling to learn to walk/stand properly again id see people staring at me and stuff so it made me really self conscious).

not expecting to be given any other sort of work from them now as I guess that means I am un-reinstated again. am disappointed as I have liked the other jobs I have done previously and would hate to think I get "sacked" becuase my mobility means I am unable to do one sort of job. its a year since I started ms-ing this week and first time I have had to say to a company I cannot do a particular job again due to my leg so I feel really bad about it and been feeling a bit down ever since.

off to bed now as feeling poorly. had tons of work last week and have a few bits this week. forced myself into town yesterday to do two coffees and the drinks and food have made my belly worse so not such a good idea in hindsight! lol hopefully some sleep and a DIY and bank job tomorrow will make me feel better (I have another 6 coffees to go but I am going to have to push them back as cant face any more until my stomach is better! lol)

Wow it makes my bad day look like nothing...sending best wishes that back and leg improve and so less pain.

Hopefully the Company will see that some jobs are not suitable or worth it. I rejected crisps since it seemed a lot of effort and creeping around for such a small fee and the company has given be other jobs so hopefully you will be ok also.:)

I read earlier posts about Helion grading evaluations, but I can't find my grades. Where are they?

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi, I saw this thread a couple of weeks ago and decided to join a couple of the mystery shop companies.

I did a pizza one for Gap - haven't heard back from them so hoping my report was ok. As it was my first I was nervous about them not being happy with it. How long before you hear from them usually? If they are happy do they still contact you to say it is ok?

Have a couple of visits lined up for the beginning of next month - a shop and a meal (looking forward to that). I think my OH would be quite happy if I only got meals and as long as the cost was covered wouldn't care if I made anything or not!!!

TNS have sent me an email today about an urgent shop they want done. I know I cannot mention the name of the shop but it just says to make a purchase and not what that purchase should be. Is it likely to be anything I want and, if so, is there a minimum I must spend.

Hello all! I have been mystery shopping for around 2 years now & recently discovered these forums. Have lurked up to now but thought I'd join in the fun! I've recently located to London & have had so many more assignments over the last few months, it's great! Did 4 shops yesterday, and have another 4 lined up for Friday. Trying to concentrate on my "other" work for the 2 days in between, but find myself slightly obsessed with checking the alerts thread and refreshing RE site on a regular basis! ;p

    Hello and welcome!!!
I'm going to apply for mystery shopping and wondered if anyone could recommend any, or I suppose let me know which ones aren't worth bothering with?
    Many thanks for any help

Hello and welcome!! Have a look at the first couple of posts of this thread. LOTS of information there and suggestions of companies to sign up with.

Hello and welcome to you too!!!

Gap only come back to you if there is a problem. "No news is good news". Sit back and relax!!

Re: your TNS job, unless stipulated otherwise, a purchase can be anything you like. It would usually say in the briefing notes the maximum reimbursement. eg. if they say they will pay £5, and you spend £7, they will only reimburse the £5. But if it's something you want, you're getting it for less! The purchase part of a job is to assess the till operator and to also get the receipt to prove you've been there.

mine just has the score and not any details does that mean sometimes they leave comments as at least then you know where you have gone wrong.
