I've just had to complete my first ever negative report on a totally disinterested staff member in a music store for RE. I'm expecting a query to come back on it but there was no way I could ignore the attitude of the member of staff. I practically had to drag information out of him and he couldn't get away from me quick enough!
Oh well I'm surprised it's taken so long for me to encounter this...0 -

Had a few like this. Hate members of staff like that because invariably it means the report takes so much longer.
Just off to do a cinema visit for first tracking. This is the kind of MSing I like, getting paid to relax in the cinema!!0 -

I'm loving first tracking. I get 3 or 4 jobs a month from them. Went to see how to train your dragon yesterday. Highly recommended.0 -

I've experience this only once. Had to report feedback on a guy in a phone shop. He couldn't have been less helpful if he tried. I felt terrible having to write the report, but I gave him so many opportunities to give me the info I needed but he didn't try. So far no query has been raised and this was about a month ago.
Picked up my 1st job for a company i've not worked for yet :T. Looking forward to it as it's a fave store of mine. So that means I have a grand total of 3 jobs for the week - YAY, show me the money !!!!

1st tracking are great, only had 1 job from them so far. Do they allow you to visit the same cinema 2 months in a row? I didn't see any explanation in their guide book.Sealed Pot Challenge member no:918

You can goback to the same cinema 2 times or more in a row only if the MOS doesnt pass the evaluation and you dont reveal yourself as a MS. Otherwise there is a 3 month wait.0 -
What are E Digital Research like? I've just signed up for them and I didn't realise it was all online based and you have to buy stuff. I'm not sure if I like money going out of my account constantly, I'm a bit worried about going overdrawn and being charged. I'm presuming you get to keep the products? The only good things I can think of is that I'd get a product I use for free or I could sell it and make more money.
The other thing I think is weird is one of the requirements to sign up and I just want to check this is normal, as I've never been asked this before. The email I've just received as that I do the following -
"Complete your demographic profile and then print, and sign, two copies of the non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Sign both copies yourself, keep hold of one copy for your records and return the other signed copy to us."
Why do they need my signature? Seems a bit dodgy as they'd have my name, address, DOB, bank details and a copy of my signature. It may just be me being a bit paranoid.
Also can anyone recommend the good companies to join? I'm already with Grassroots and have done a few assignments with them and Retail Eyes but there never anything in my area. I'm just wanting to boost my funds as I'm out of work in August and need some pennies if I don't find a job.0 -
@kell.b - eDigital Research are a VERY reputatable company in the industry, you have nothing to worry about in that regard. Whether the work is worth it, is another matter. I've been signed up a while and had invites for various "jobs" but they just didn't seem worth the effort for the fee, but each to their own.
Other companies...I take it you've read the first post on this thread and signed up to all those?0 -
i like edigital and the fees are reasonable for the amount of work required for the jobs i have done, esp compared with say re. no travelling time and no time to actually do an assignment, its all just filling in the questionnaire. most of the ones i have done involve no expenses at all so is a bonus. re the ones where you have to buy stuff, sometimes you send it back to the company you ordered it from and obtain a refund and you are also paid for that. people have previously commented that you can sometimes return stuff to a branch if it is a highstreet shop or you can buy something like a tshirt which is only pennies to return. i have not done any that involved a purchase yet. hoping for a new load of invites soon.
on that note, has anyone had their retail surveys approved yet? i've not and all all my others were done in a few hourshope they are done by 19th as i need them to raise an invoice!
