well well well, talk about the left hand not talking to the right! I sent this message through their contact system 2 days ago...

"This is getting silly now :( I just sent a query message and it has disappeared from my active messages. Why has my order gone back to "Awaiting Security Check" ?? I replied to your email with requested security details at 13:15 today (Wed) and my items were "Processing" and now they are not. I am not happy with all this messing around! "

then my order got cancelled, and then today they sent me this message...

"Message From Customer Service 04 Aug 2006

Thank you for your e-mail. Your order has been released from the security check and when the items have been despatched you will receive an e-mail to advise. Kind regards, Alexandra, MCR Advisor, Woolworths "

well wouldn't that be clever - despatching a cancelled order

I personally think that they made a mistake on the pricing and will eventually honour the deal just like the gamecube/pokemon deal about a 1.5 years ago.

    Just received this email :

' Thank you for your e-mail. My apologies for the inconvenience this matter may have caused you, we are currently experiencing a problem with these two items, and we are striving to update our customers as quickly as possible of any resolutions we find. Please be patient and we will contact you shortly. '

So be patient guys and dont cancel your orders.

Thank you for your e-mail. I apologise that 'Finding Nemo' is no longer available, this is not something we would have been aware of when your order was submitted to us. The suppliers were unable to retrieve the stock and therefore this item was cancelled from your order. I can confirm that no payment has been taken for this item. 'The Incredibles' is currently on 'Back Order' meaning it is out of stock with the supplier, which is not something we would have been aware of when placing the order. When the stock is again available the order will process and the item will be despatched. Once despatched delivery should be within 3-7 working days. I apologise that there is no due date provided for the stock to return. I can confirm that no payment has been taken for this item either. If you do not wish to wait for this item and can find an alternative supplier, it can be cancelled providing the order status still reads 'Back Order'. I again apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Kind regards, Anthony Troy MCR Adviser

We've had this posted in response to an email we sent to Woolworths, which is rubbish!!
I don't think that the Finding Nemo game that we placed an order on was a Platinum version as is showing in your link.

    Lisa

It seems to me that another person who posted here got Finding Nemo Platinum as part of their order. Besides Platinum games are no different than 'normal' PS2 games, it just means they've sold a certain amount of games.

I'm sorry to all those who didn't recieve their items.

I got home yesterday to a parcel from Woolworths. I'm not sure why I was picked above others but I did get my copy of Nemo (Platinum version) but not Incredibles. I did however order about £20 of stock with a few other bits chucked in so this is maybe why I received mine as well as the fact I have made a few other orders previously.

That said, I don't want to annoy people, but its inaccurate to say the game is rubbish. It is a very good game and, although I'm 20, it is still very enjoyable for its good gameplay, story and accuracy for the film. For a 9-14 year old it would be perfect for boy or girl or even younger if they are particularly intelligent or good with computer games.

Was Finding Nemo still £2.00 with your order?

We've sent another email to woolworths and are waiting to see if we get a reply, but not holding our breath. It's a disgrace!!

As i said i got finding nemo yesterday (platinum version in a silver box) through the post from Woolies, ironically its the onlly thing i have got so far from my order of around £60 and yes it was £2, the rest has been was arranged to be collected at the store, but to date i have heard nowt about these one. As far as ordering in the store the two games and the internet prices, the store tried for me yesterday as i posted before but had no luck as they were now showing as out of stock.

I've heard nothing about the incredibles other than "back order or pre-release"and a date given as Wed 23rd August.

I think i might have been lucky with finding nemo, only because i ordered other things, but then again it might be just coincidence.

Good luck all you never know.

I was going to put a pic of my order in to show you it as despatched and the price, but i dont know how to get a pic in, it keeps coming up with enter url. If anyone can help me i'd much appreciate it.

My Noddy game for the PC has been despatched despite me trying to cancel the order. the Incredibles is on order from the supplier. Need for Speed and Finding Nemo are both now out of stock.

I also ordered both games and had the security request and then the cancellation of my order

I have to say what makes it worse is them making out that they have no stock. They should have just come and said we are sorry but we obviously mispriced these games instead of firstly using the security email to deter people from replying therefore reducing orders that way and then making up they were out of stock only to stick a "Platinum" edition up at £17.99!

Woolworths... what a load of rubbish! (I am being polite on what I really think of Woolworths online site) :A

Total incompetence, both the person who priced it wrong and then whoever came up with the bright idea to make out it was out of stock. (Woolworths you should have sent an email apologising for the misprice or sent the so called "Platinum" versions out as good will instead of your bright idea alternative solution to the problem!)

One good thing about having this forum though is that 17,000 people have read this post, so 17,000 people know just how incompetent Woolworths online are :D Thats not including anyone that's heard it from someone reading these posts, so you can easily double it.

Hopefully it'll help Woolworths see the light if this situation arises again since thousands of people will now choose the alternative sites if it's between Woolworths and another site, as after all, who wants to chance carrying a transaction with an incompetent supplier like Woolworths

By the way, anyone looking for the PC games of £1, don't waste your time with Woolworths, most of them £1 games are on Asda's Entertainment section an the £1 which includes delivery.

The games that are selling for £1 on Woolworths actually have a RRP of £1, so you aren't saving anything! You can see this when you go to sites like Tesco as they have the RRP price listed along with their own
