Hi all,
I am looking to switch suppliers for dual fuel, and OVO keep coming up as the cheapeast. The problem is they have really mixed reviews, with lots of negative blogs.
Does anyone have any experience of them, or any ideas on a good (cheaper than npower!!) supplier?
cheers

We have just decided to switch to OVO from Scottish Power, I think that all the energy suppliers will have their fair share of negative comments etc. but if it saves you money...?0

I have been with OVO for the last 8 months and it has been all good so far. They do all their communication by email (but call centre available), provide a monthly statement based on actual meter readings (if available).
I have twice asked them to review my direct debit (kids leaving home hooray!) and on both occasions the response was quick and sensible. My one experience of their call centre was good.
I would be happy to recommend them.0 -
I have been with them for a few months now. Found them very good. They had a discrepancy with my meter number, inherited from npower (meter was changed a few years ago, but Npower forgot to update their database & MPAN, and don't believe me, despite several visits from engineers).
Ovo asked me to email a photo of meter, and all problems are now solved! I would recommend them.0 -
Very happy with them, had issues swapping from NPower, but OVO have been very helpfull and accomodating0

I signed up with them yesterday as they have worked out cheapest for me based on my consumption! So far, so good.
Clear easy communication via e-mail. Very impressed. I just hope the switch doesn't go through before 30th April or else I will end up with exit fees as my current price protection doesn't end until then0 -
Been with OVO since Dec 09. No problems at all. Without prompting they have just reduced my direct debit too.0

Another vote from me for Ovo, been with them since June and in no rush to change, the bills are laid out in a nice clear way and no stupidly complicated discounts or anything..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0

My switch to Ovo was set in motion on 27th April and came into effect on 15th June. At every step of the way, Ovo’s paperwork was a picture of clarity, as are their bills/statements.
At last we seem to have an energy company that understands what its customers want – and provides it. Such a refreshing change from the over-complicated bills/statements I used to receive from Npower (with their detailed billing figures in really tiny print) and BG (with its unnecessarily complicated discounts).
Well done Ovo.0
