NSD number 2 for me today (Saturday) Spoon - mind you I did something really silly  I just realised that I posted this on the Make £10 a Day in April thread instead - I have just had to edit that and come here to update - what will I do next !!!!:(

This time I really am off to bed - sunday is 'see friends & have coffee & mouch round at Car Boot morning' so it is certainly not a NSD and I have slimming class on Monday so my next one is due on Tuesday - Wednesday & Thursday should be good too hopefully :T

    Night Night

Hello - can I join in please if it's not too late? I've been lurking for a while and managed 7 in March so would like to climb aboard for April and declare a target of 10 please - thank you xx
Hi mookiepook, welcome to the April thread.:) Of course you can join, it's never too late. Sounds as though you did well in March, so looking forward to seeing your progress through April - good luck!:)

Woohoo number 4 today!! A third of the way through my target!!!
Went out for a free easter celebration where the kids got to do all kinds of crafts and had a mini disco and they also got hotdog and chips for lunch and i had a cup of tea! Not bad all on a NSD day!
Hi littlekel, like the free celebration - definitely the NSD way to go. Will update your total, but am a bit confused (like Cleosmum) about 4 so far - do you start on payday like ceebeeby?

Right just want to check how we do this (having signed up late last night)Presumably regular bills don't count but what about essentials like food, petrol, kids dinner money etc?
Bought some food today cos am trying to do a special easter lunch tomorrow and ds made a huge hole in his one and only pair of shoes (he is only 3 and scoots around on those little cars that scuff toes right out of shoes!) Didn't buy anything else but not sure I would count it as a nsd iyswim?
Also I work full time so dh does most of the shopping so do I have a nsd if he goes shopping? Sorry for all the questions :o
Hi Dorastar, basically this is your challenge and you do what works for you. I count a spend as any time I use either cash or debit card, but don't count DDs or SOs. So I would include food, petrol etc, but others on here don't. My aim is to stop myself going out and wasting money, so this works for me. I definitely don't count OH's spending as a spend day, even if he has been "volunteered" to get something I would normally pay for:D. Cleosmum has also given you some pointers, so I hope these help. If you need any more advice/thoughts/comments, just ask again and we'll try to help. :)

Went to Chesington for DS birthday yesterday. OH paid (I'd filed with petrol the other day). Spent some money in the petrol station today though on my way to pick up a freezer I'd bought off Ebay. So, 1 day so far for me. - I'm trying!
    Good luck everyone : ) :D
Hi AngelsMadv, oooh, you've been busy. Hope you had a good day at Chessington:) and that you're pleased with your new freezer.:). Well done on getting one NSD so far,:j will update your total now:)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi guys

Well I've managed two NSD's so far but today was a bit of a blow-out. Passport renewal at £77.50  (plus £6 for photos! Plus £8 post office check and send as I'd stupidly left it rather late as am in Germany next month for a work thing) and hairdressers (not telling you how much that cost 'cause you'd all shout at me and tell me to get to my local college). But I really am a curlygirl and have suffered some right poodle cuts in the past and have recently decided enough is enough - I need to go to a decent salon. Sadly I came out looking like Jackie Onassis with a huge boufant that had got caught in the rain. Sigh. Ah well....will be back to curlyself tomorrow after a shower.

Oh and well done spoons :T
  • Hi, a bit late signing up this month (how is it 4th already!!!). I'm going for 10 this month. Wasn't impressed with my efforts last month so I'm going to knuckle down in April.

    Thanks

    Morning all!
I'm trying for NSD no 2 today - I have no plans to do anything outside the house and have plenty of everything we need at home.
Famous last words - but I will try!

PS Am not taking money with me when I walk the dog - that's when sneaky spends happen!
