I fell in love with a married colleague, nothing physical happened but we relied and supported each other with work and personal stuff and never crossed the physical line, he always maintained that we weren't having an affair as nothing had happened but deep down we both knew that we having an affair just without the sex.

I was single and didn't start out to have this sort of relationship with him it just developed over time, we put an end to it and I moved jobs, 7 years later I still miss him!

My ex partner did, although wouldn't admit it. It ruined our relationship. It was a colleague he worked with but after he got a new job and obviously didn't see her all day he started to spend all his spare time texting her.

It put me in a very difficult position as I knew they weren't "doing anything" but I couldn't carry on with the way things were. Not so subtle hints about how much time he spent with her outside of work and the constant texting were ignored.

The nail was when he went out for the night and I wasn't invited so he stayed at hers and admitted to staying up all night "talking". Amusingly there are a few photos that the 3 of us are in and a picture certainly tells a thousand words!

I've been cheated on both emotionally and physically and the emotional was so much harder to deal with.

I am however guilty with flirting at work, with one guy in particular but we both know it is just a bit of fun and my partner knows all about it and doesnt have any issue with it... to be fair him and said work colleague flirt more than me and him lolol
  • Yes.

I was in a relationship with an abusive man and instead of facing things i had an emotional affair with a man i met online.

I wouldn't recommend it as it just leads to more heartache.

My ex had an emotional affair i saw it coming and knew what the other woman was upto ( she bought him champagne and a fertility statue for his birthday i mean come on!!) he just couldnt see it and thought i was being unreasonable when i asked him not to see her anymore we split for 3 months and low and behold they ended up in bed together. Anyways we got back together but 7 years later we split for good thank fully not due to extramarital on either side but many other reasons which is a whole different thread.

Anyways if your having one end it now for both your sakes and if its your other half then start talking now and try to get him to see sense :-)
