i rent from tesco and worked out that the cost of each dvd this month has cost me 99 pence. pretty good considering i used to pay 3.50 a dvd for two nights rental. the trial is only for 14 days i have to say i only subscribed for the 14 days and was going to cancel but im hooked. It's great not having to walk to the rental store and i have always received the dvd's that are at the top of my list. It states on the tesco website that you can cancel immediately but you have to return any dvd's that you have outstanding within a number of days.0

Whatever you do dont bother with Blockbuster. I'm coming to the end of a months free trial but the turn around is ridiciolus!
Posted a dvd back A WEEK AGO and they have only just acknowledged that they've received it!! From past experience it'll take 3-4 days for the replacment to arrive - and if it's in the top ten of my list I'll be amazed!
When I first signed up I thought a month was very good of them but I got through the same amount of DVD's if not more during my 2 weeks trial with LoveFilm.
Certainly wouldn't pay for the service!!!0 -

I agree with all points & would also like to add the awful quality of the dvd's sent out - broken & scratched!0 -
I've been with tesco's since it started, it's 100% better than Lovefilm, who I was with before. All the discs I've had have been perfect. Very quick turnabout as well.:beer:0

I have been using tesco dvd rental for about 2 months now and i agree the turnaround is excellent, i posted dvd back last night and today they have despatched another one out to me, that's about 3 dvds a week if you like. blockbusters shop rental is almost £4 each, which would be £12 per week and £48 per month; so as you can see Tesco are well worth it.0

I am using Lovefilm at the moment. If you want 4 weeks free trial, PM me and I will send you a link. If you want to try them immediately, they are having a 3 months for the price of 1, http://www.lovefilm.com/last-chance.php
Their turnaround is better, I was with them previously and left because they were getting too popular and couldn't cope. I like the amount of movies they have although you may have to wait for a new release.
If anyone on the forums works for a DVD rental company, it would be interesting to know how the rental queue works.0 -
We use Amazon. We've been using them since January, and it's fab. The turnaround is lightening fast (it goes on their system the day after we mail it, they mail the next one out the same day, it arrives the following morning). There's never been ANY wait for any films ... touch wood ... and you get 10% off any dvds you buy from them too - so they're even cheaper than they usually are.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0

waiting for 5 days for another dvd to be sent no reply to email after sending 10 emails they are a waste of space and don deserve to run a buisness i was lucky to get 4 dvds a month and that was pn the 2 dvd 12.99 i had over 50 dvds in my rental list so there was no excuses, when you join great dvds are sent straight away no problems but boy o boy wait till the free trial ends you end up on the heap of other Dissastified customers any body work for lovefilm how do they work with the rental service0

well ive had a few dvd by post accounts, blockbuster, screenselect and now ive been with ilovefilm for about 3 months.
i am a bit disapointed though as since they merged with screenselect the service seams to of gone downhill, dvds that dont play properly, them loosing dvds, this week ive been waiting 6 days for them to ship out anything and still it says pending!
I never got no response to my general email i sent 2 weeks ago, and then i noticed that existing customers are being charged 12.99 for 2 discs but new customers only 12.49, the cheek of it!
if your thinking about joining ilovefilm i`d leave it another month till they sort out things a bit more.
anyone else actually managed to contact these guys?!0
