I would quite frankly tell them where to go! Do you have your invoice stating its all paid etc?0

How much are we talking here?0

You either owe the money or you don't
If you do you are obliged to pay it in its entirety
I am sure your OH would have noticed if they had overcharged him by this amount wouldn't he.0 -
I'm confused here. Did you pay the money you owed as stated on the invoice?0

You didn't notice that you had paid £2k too little?
I don't think they will give up easily for that sort of amount. I would try and come to an arrangement for paying it in installments if I could.0 -

So am I.:o0 -
How on earth did you not notice you had an extra £2000 left over in the bank?0
-
How on earth could you not notice a 2k shortfall in the payment. I simply don't believe you and can guarentee if they had been overpaid by 2k he would have noticed immediately.0

Its not that we didn't realise we didn't pay the 2k deposit, we thought the deposit was £250 and theyre stating it was 2k. We paid the 250 as they asked so when they didn't ask for anymore we didn't even realise there was any more to pay.
As i say it all got very confusing when the dealer had to rehash the figures due to them being all wrong.
I appreciate it sounds a little odd but i was just after advice on a very confusing and bad situation.
Yes, but what does it say on the invoice?0 -
If you owe, then you have to pay. The reason that the dealer is only contacting you now is possibly because they're doing their end of year accounts and have come across the shortfall in the sale.0
