most efficient network for porting number

Options
I need to move my existing number from 3 contract thats just about to finish - A N Other network - back to new contract on 3 (got better deal buying new contract).

Any experience of an efficient 'in between' provider to use (and if they even come with free credit loaded on it for interim period)?

Took out completely new contract last time existing 3 one finished but didnt bother transferring number - I'm supply teacher now and too many people know current number hence wanting to keep it.

TIA
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

if you ask for a PAC they HAVE to give it to you within 2 days
"Your current Service Provider must give you a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) or a reason why it cannot be issued within 2 working days of your request." - Ofcom regulations
