Crazy....I think i've gone insane over the weekend with so much time to myself to think :rotfl:

I think if things stay as they are then I could be debt free in 4 years but that's not good enough for me as who knows what'll happen, i'd like children soonish as turning 32 this year Also want my life back so i'm thinking a lot of hard work this year and cutting back, perhaps will pay off. I won't clear it but if I could get it down to a livable total level of less and a few creditors cleared to make monthly money more managable....:o

I'm with you on having a life too though, I still have at least one hols a year and OH and I very outdoorsy (is that how it's spelt??) so we often do weekend camping trips here and there. Finding the balance is the hard part!!! xx

20k would be acceptable for me in loans rather than credit cards because they eat money

Funny enough that's what I would feel acceptable for me £20k.....i'm sure some people would think we're mad but then after have £63K at highest £20K I could manage

I was having a conversation with girlfriend of OH's brother yesterday and she has 22k of debt and no way of moving foward in life until she gets a better paid job or able to clear it - seems everyone has something somewhere debt wise

Keep my fingers crossed for that lottery win ;)x

We'll get there one day....have just been brave and put my totals in my sig and as I put on my diary it'll remind me how far i've come but at the same time how much further I still have to go :eek::eek::eek:

Well done choc, yes it reminds you how far you have come and also prompts how far we have to go, boooo oh is waiting for a call back from alliance and lesciester re charges etc cheeky bleeds .. going to try corner them into a 0% overdraft so we can transfer our old overdrafts if only.. bedroom nearly done decorator gone back end of week as i start nights i am really chuffed x

I think a lot of people now-a-days have debt they just don't talk about it, the OH's parents are putting their house on the market and will rent when it sells to clear a lot of their debts.
When I first got with OH I thought they were really well off as they had a couple of good hols a year, got new kitchen/bathroom etc... but it seems a lot was on CCs

Yes, it seems alot of people i have thought to be well off are all credit cards etc but it still doesnt stop me feeling jealous lol id rather have memory loss on the amount we owe, its such a constant reminder like its engraved on the back of your eye lids '! :O

Hello where is everyone hiding:-) half asleep due to nights mode two left to do. I'm going to tackle debt more I'm tired of thinking about it and seeing it I'm laid in bed thinking should I decline my place at uni and have another year just focusing on debts and diy only but then I feel bloody daft maybe I'm just feeling that way out. Hope everyones ok xx
