Fitting a shower - eek! UPDATE

Thanks Colour Republic

Just got back from looking at the other place which had damp! Guy from the agency was very honest about it so steering clear of that one.
Looks like the place I saw this morning is the one so will phone the agent and ask about the shower.
Thanks0 -
Hi all, well after all that the landlord says it won't be possible to fit a shower as it's a studded wall and other things, can't remember what the landlord said but it wouldn't be possible.
At the end of the day I can live without a proper shower but now I am looking at those things you attach to the taps so at least washing my hair might not be so hard. I'm not using a saucepan full of water lol
Anyone got any good recommendations? The ones I have looked at on Argos and Amazon have had poor reviews.

That is not true, he's just saying that to avoid the cost of installing it.No free lunch, and no free laptop

What can I do though? I'm loathe to get into a debate to be honest. I really want to move out sooner rather than later due to the situation at home and this house is the only one in the area that I can afford, and that is anywhere near decent to live in.0

Get you own plumber in, get a quote and offer to contribute something towards the cost. If it enhances the long term value of the property then he's unlikely to object, especially if he wants to keep you as a tenant. No free lunch, and no free laptop

HI
Maybe there is a concern that water will get into the plasterboard wall.
If there is any movement on the bath to tile line then avoid getting it wet.
Is it tiled up to the ceiling ?

Not sure to be honest, I can't remember. The agent said the landlord mentioned something about the shower rail/shower screen as well? Maybe once I move in it will be better so I can assess it.
If I really can't I can live with that for a while - my sanity is more important at the mo
