Choccy Lab still not cocking his leg when peeing ???

My dads dog ( a female) lift's both her legs in the air to wee, stands on both front paws in a handstand, makes me giggle every time I see her!

My Dexter started cocking his leg last week, hes only 7 months old and a big fella, I was shocked when he first did it, and sadly, took a photo to prove to the oh that he was a big boy :rotfl:I am quite surprised as my last weimy hardly ever cocked his leg, he usually just squatted, but then he did have arthritis when we got him (he was a rescue)

My boy's 11 months and has never even attempted to !!!! his leg. My friend has a 7 year old GSD that has never done it either.

My dog is nearly 3 and has never attempted to !!!! his leg when doing his business even though he sniffs at his older pack member's whatsit when he does . . . dont think he's ever going to do it now.

My boy cocked his leg at 5 months and hasn't looked back. He is one of those weird dogs that sometimes cocks his leg to poo on trees and stuff.

my female doggie used to !!!! her leg for weeing! I think she had a gender crisis in her old age!
And my dad used to have a dog who didn't quite get the hang of it properly as he used to lift his front paw instead, silly boy!

our 10 year old male dog has never lifted his leg he always spreads all 4 legs wide apart to wee ,hes just lazy i think !

My little Alfie is 19months old and a greyhound, he keeps watching his brother wee (5 years old terrier lab cross) who wee's like a big boy should, he watches him as if to say, why do you do it like that, then Alfie tilts his head as if to say, wonder if i can do that. All the time squating like a girl and peeing all over his fron left paw.

it took Defa until he was 2 to !!!! his leg and on occasion he still squats when he is feeling lazy.

i was told most dog dont do it until they are 2 years old, dont know how true that is, i assumed Alfie would take longer seeing as he is a Greyhound and still nearly falls over on his spindly legs when he shakes. just wish he didnt pee all over his leg haha
