You can use the soundcard output wired with a 3.5mm lead to the "PC input" jack on the back of your TV, so long as you use the HDMI1 input for video. It's how Philips (and Sony) get round not having a DVI input on smaller screen sizes. DVI doesn't support sound but you can run a DVI to HDMI cable and an audio cable. Whatever is plugged into the audio 'PCinput' will be heard when viewing HDMI1.
There is a chance that since the PC was originally built as a Mediastation that the sound may already have been 'bridged' to the video card internally.0
