Facebook pics? Hmm -didn't know there were any on there.
And BB is classed as one of my kids
OK I guess my second Pollyanna will be that I actually had some work to do when I got to the office this morning. It was lovely finding ways of fending off all the offers of help and I was, actually, gainfully employed for the whole of my few hours there today. Almost thought I might have to do a smidgeon of overtime at one point but, alas, I was too efficient.
Sorry.
I'm actually going through a bit of a BD/Mid life Crisis at the moment.
And no, I do NOT wish to talk about it.
I just beg the forgiveness of you all if I'm silent/grumpy/whatever

[STRIKE]I want to see at least 2 things that are fabulous in our life right now!! There has been a lot of unhappiness so now we can all be Pollyannas and be glad about something!![/STRIKE]
On the happier side I've ordered some roses to remember my dad by. 2 for me and 2 for mum who has a celebratory wedding anniversary this year.
I'm pleased I've done this and not put it off for the never to be done pile of things as I would have done last year. Plus I managed it without feeling upset/angry which I would have done a year ago.
Me and mum are going to find some nice pots to put them into in a week or so.
Mental targets are being met and all is going well at the moment which is a nice turn around from how I have felt before.
Ahh how good to feel this way

Hi all, I've been skiving (sp?) you know, slacking off work, for the last 2 days. Excuses are, school hols coming up and so went for a long walk yesterday before they arrrive
and appointment with neurologist for results today so went shopping in town to cheer self up afterwards. I had got really worked up about it because I agree with Sandy...moves off on to new topic, was so sorry to have been AWOL because I missed loads with you lot, glad you all had her back. Thanks for the updates Greenbee (nice legs, btw:D) and please pass on my warmest regards, healing hopes and virtual hugs.
I have now decided we need a new carpet too so the room needs to be ENTIRELY emptied so I can fit tha.. once I've bought it of course!.. Yes, I fit carpet too!!!
Pigpen - well done on the decorating, sounds lovely, please be careful of your hips/knees/back whilst being multi-talentedI was doing quite well with last weeks rota but missed Friday as my Dad took a turn for the worse, he died on Saturday. I've been cleaning today to take my mind off everything and my kitchen is now sparkling. It's actually good therapy.
So sorry for your loss Sue.funfairprincess wrote: »And also for Mr Tunnock without whom there would be no caramel logs, tea cakes or caramel waffers.
Finding it hard to be Pollyanna, even with evidence (see above) of what others have to cope with but if pressed would say;
OH, 3 gorgeous children, safe home, good food, good friends...
but can't say it makes me feel any better, just more guilty/ungrateful for feeling so low/being so useless...:o

Evening all,
I'm glad Sandy is ok.
I've just about done my dailies today, i must try harder tomorrow. I have been out for lunch with my Sisters and Ds's. Ds2 has had the devil in him today, he hasn't done a thing he's been told and is so grumpy. He's usually pretty good so i'm wondering if he's coming down with this cold.0 -
Evening all
Soappie - big hugs and pokes with a stick for you. Not like you sweetie, you need that sunshine back PDQ!
Cricket done, that was the last one for the year (indoor nets)
Rang Mother - she was being deliberately difficult
I need to wrap DS2's present and blow some balloons up. Hoping his laptop does arrive tomorrow as per the courier instructions.
Take care in the red zone. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
My Pollyanna Moment (and thank you so much Pigpen for making me type this)
I am soooo glad for:
- my sinus unblocking meds, which is helping me breathe through my nose (I love it)
- my lovely family who keep asking me if I need more tissue to mop up the stream now its decided to unblock!
- Easter weekend, as I have so much I want to do!
- Snow, a camping stove and lovely neighbours, because as above, if the power keeps flickering, at least we can feed ourselves and our local friends (I've got 9 camping stove cannisters, that should do the estate!!). The snow is covering the beach - wow!
- Work, because when it's good it's over the rainbow. When it's bad - it's worse than imaginable - today it's good.
- MSE for the massive support I get from everyone, even when I've done sneaky ebay buys and have to confess them, or haven't flown in a week, I know you guys are here to cajole (or wallop) me back into shape.
- I have the ability to listen, but wish I had the patience to display it more!
Sending good vibes to all other Pollyanna's and the joy of being glad xxx0 -
Pigpen - well done on the decorating, sounds lovely, please be careful of your hips/knees/back whilst being multi-talented
