Only 12 Month 0% Balance Transfer Card Being Ditched?

I've an unconfirmed, but VERY authoritative tip-off that the Lloyds TSB Advance card offer, the longest 0% for those wanting to shift debt, is to be dropped soon (end of month?). None of the new crop of balance transfer offers are as long as this so act quick.
For more details about how to decide which is best for you please read Best Balance Transfers article
URGENT UPDATE NOTE 00:30 27th JAN 2005.
Lloyds gone but Virgins left. (cut and pasted from amendment to article)
What’s happened? Lloyds TSB 12 month Advance card has literally just closed, its been dropped to an average 6 months. I hope my sneaky tip of about it being withdrawn in both last and this week’s email tips helped in time.
What’s the best 0% card now? I’m actually just finishing fully rewriting the article on it. It will be on the site early next week. If you can wait do. If not, cutting to the chase the best 0% balance transfer card is now the MBNA managed range of 9 month interest free cards (with no balance tranfer fee) including Virgin* and Alliance and Leicester*.
At 9 months these are the longest 0% balance transfer cards on the market, and they have a range of other benefits too (see below)
Is it still worth reading the Best Balance Transfersarticle? Yes, it includes lots of other things to watch for, and the option of forgetting 0% and going for an easy to do long term stable rate. Just ignore the stuff about Lloyds-TSB Advance

Thanks Martin. My Barclaycard offer of 0% runs out on 1st Feb hope I don't have to pay any interest. Just applied for the Llyods TSB advance. One thing I did notice it didn't like me de-selecting insurance and and protection to separate things however I just ignored that and proceeded on. Thanks again

Read your tip late last Weds Martin and applied immeadiately online. I had only closed a LloydsTSB Platinum in November at the end of its 0% period and not only did they accept me again this time round but they gave a 10k limit (previously 6k). Marvellous.

Just curious, but did those who applied get the acceptance as soon as the application went through online?
We got a 'thank you we'll be in touch within 5 business days' window. Normally whatever we've applied for previously has been accepted straight away. Wonder if we're going to get our first knock back.Herman - MP for all!0 -

I got immeadiate acceptance online weds night, followed by an email about 5hrs later (nearly midnight!). Phoned up next day to confirm credit limit, and credit agreement arrived friday morning IIRC. lol. I though all the new offers were meant to apear in January? There haven't been many and instead existing cashbacks and now this BT have been withdrawn.
Still hoping for a killer offer, January is not quite over yet...0 -
