New Bathroom Suite - Steel or Plastic Bath?

I can't really comment on that suite, although have to say when we looked at budget suites with acrylic baths I was very unimpressed with the baths, they felt very flimsy, which is why we opted for a steel bath for our new bathroom.
Re taps, I have just discovered that Bristan have a clearence site on ebay, for discontinued stock, we just got a a set of basin taps and bath / shower mixer taps for just over £40, I ordered them at 8am on Wednesday and they arrived at 9.00am on Thursday!

Hi
We had our bathroom re-done about 7 months ago and i was asking the same question.
Our plumber advised that we get a steel bath as we have a shower over bath and he said it would hold the weight of standing at one end better than a plastic one.
However, if i ever do another bathroom i'm going for acrylic - can't believe how fast the water cools down in the steel bath and how cold it is to stand in (esp. in winter).
If you're using it only as a bath i would go with acrylic

Hi Flamingo, I think my partner is looking at the acrylic one now over steel - he asked me the other day "do you have any idea how bulky the steel bath is to lug up the stairs and fit" to which my answer was clearly "no" :rotfl:
He has seen something in plumbworld for approx £350. I was drawn to the screwfix deal for £199 however there is no picture of the actual bath and I am a little weary (possibly unecessarily)..This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
