Help.Looking to reduce my phone/internet bills.

I am currently with Pipex for my broadband and pay £23.44 for a 2mb unlimited connection. My quarterly BT bill is usually total around £45.
That makes a monthy bill of around £39.I am looking to reduce this figure but still keep the same type of internet connection if possible.I know I can go the NTL route but have heard so many conflicting reports about them that I am not sure if I want to chance it.I f I can keep the same phone number that would be a bonus as I have had it for around 20 odd years.

Phone and Broadband Comparisons
Look under Home Phone. There's a wizard like interface where you can build up your calling profile and check prices. You can also get cashback for it through rpoints and others. Also check out the broadband page.
I know this may sound cliched recommending this, but you can see all the offers at a glance.
Cheers and take care.

Have a read of Martin's article regarding Home Phone with Broadband.
If you go from that article to the Uswitch site please use the MSE link which gives MSE a small amount of money which enables Martin to keep MSE ad-free, run the forums and donate money to charity0 -
have you rung Pipex up ? I was on the same tariff as you and rang up and told them I could get a better deal elsewhere, they immediately reduced my monthly charge to £17.99 for the same service. If you are happy with their service this may be the way to go for you. They also do a phone package but I am not sure of the details0

If you do what carly suggests Pipex will likely tie you in to a 12 month contract - seems to be their standard customer care philosophy for existing users. I'm not saying don't do it, just check around first to see what else is on offer and if you're happy with Pipex once you have checked, stay with them.
Their phone deals have had a few bad write ups on these threads if you scroll back a few pages, so I would be wary if they offer you a package inc phone and internet.0
