First Neg! Not Happy!

I cant believe it! After nearly 10 years and 2,500 POSTIVE feedback, I have today got my 1st negative!!
I posted a skirt 2 weeks ago, 1st class, and as normal got my proof of postage.
The item was not recieved by the buyer, so I refunded full amount and will claim from the PO for the loss!
The buyer has left negative feedback saying that she doesnt think I sent it!!!
The buyer only has 30 postive feedback so isnt experienced and mine was probably the 1st item that for some reason never made it!
Parcels going missing has happened before (rarely tho!), I have always given a refund and claimed from the PO, and have never recieved a neg!
I just needed to get that off my chest!!!

That's rather harsh of the buyer seeing you refunded her straight away...
You can ask her will she revise her feedback, there's a thing you can send. It should be listed in help under feedback revision."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

And you can add follow up on her feedback to say you refunded in full.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

OUCH! Your first neg is bound to hurt, especially after being what sounds like such a lovely seller to deal with

If there are no grounds for feedback removal, I would contact your buyer and see if you can get her to do a feedback revision. You may find it more productive to contact her by phone rather than email - people are often more responsive to a phone call
I would just explain that you have been upset by receiving a negative feedback when you did everything you possibly could to resolve the situation in a quickly and friendly manner, ask her was there anything else you could have done to help? Many buyers (especially new/inexperienced ones) are unaware of what effect feedback/DSR's can have on sellers account.
Depending on where you get with a revision I would follow up the feedback with a calm factual comment. People who are going to buy from you in the future will be able to see that you are a good seller and handled the situatuion well...and the neg will eventually disappear.
I would promptly add her to my blocked bidder list...and while your at it let me know her ID so that I can block her too

That's why ebay removed the facility for sellers to be able to neg.
If you are going to get anywhere with a revision you need to be polite and calm in all your dealings with her and that includes your feedback follow up.0 -
I recently got given my first neg by a buyer who bought a bra and knickers set from me - it didn't fit her!
I had clearly stated the size yet I am apparently responsible for the fact it doesn't fit. Buyer had feeback of 15.0 -
Unfortunately since the DSR's were brought in, you have to consider what effect those ratings have on your account more than the actual feedback. Many buyers are unaware how much it can impact some sellers0

Thats si annoying - i just 'sold' a dualit kettle last weekend and the buyer will not answer my emails?!
Then i look at his profile and has neg feedback saying bids and wins but then doesn't claim???
why?!?!?
such a waste of time- will ebay let me relist for free?:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -
Just respond with 'Item lost in post, refund given.' - anyone reading that will sympathise.
If on the other hand, you respond 'F&@KING IDIOT BUYER, WUD NEG IF I CUD' then you will probably send people running a mile (me anyway!!):www: :: MFi3 ::

I don't understand how a buyer can receive a neg, unless it's a neg from a long time ago? You need to open a UPI (unpaid item item) using the resolution centre. Your buyer may pay by using this process, if he doesn't you will be entitled to a FVF (final valuation fee) credit and you should get a listing fee credit if you paid to list it.0
