Hi Everyone, I'm back (but not for long !)

    What a nightmare !

OK, still feeling a bit.............well, not right, but marching on !

Thanks for all the well wishes, advice, links and hugs, all greatly received, beleive me, I need you lot, just so I don't feel alone, THANK YOU. (I have Angels afterall !)

    I have a few answers.

    1. Monty Pythons Flying Circus will house us temp in B & B whilst they investigate.
    2. Still no news on the appeal for top up of rent, so being housed depends on that basically !!!
    3. My Epilepsy is not deemed serious enough to warrant changing the application.
    4. MP has gone on long holiday !!! (Apparently he's not due back for over a month !!! (hopefully on his return his feet won't be a problem !)
    5. STILL NO letter from Landlady for notice of eviction or intention to sell, even though house sale is in full swing and I now know that she needs to give me 2 months notice in writing (although I'm sure she thinks that if the house gets sold, it will be the new owners' problem !) Silly woman ! I have told her time again to send a letter, but she won't listen.

and to top it all ...(very amusing really !)

A friends' sister was in the same position as me but was told 6 weeks ago about her house going up for sale. She did everything I did and had the same problem with top up. This is still being investigated like mine. She HAS had a letter from her Landlord for eviction date and gave it to Monty Python's lot, and today she got a phone call from them offering her a house when she has to move out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNREAL !

The only difference is, she lives about 2 miles away from me, which falls into the next County Council jurisdiction, which apparently has different rules !

I will fight on, and I will get a result (trying to sound very optimistic !)

However, I borrow my neighbours laptop overnight and return it in the morning (for a tiny fee), which somehow works on their wireless system (fantastic technology, I don't understand how it works from my house to 2 doors away, but it does !) and unfortunately, they will no longer have it after the weekend, so I won't be on for a fair while, until I can afford to sort something out.

If I cannot get access for a while, please, please, be assured, that you have all been such fantastic people, so supportive, so welcoming and friendly, and so caring and loyal, I am truly humbled beyond belief.

I will try to gain access (somehow) and report back on any progress I make.

Is there some way I can email or someone else can email this whole topic to me, so that my neighbour can print it off for me for reference, so that I have everything word for word in case I need it ??? I don't know how to !

I am feeling a litte more positive and hoping and praying that my positive attitude at the moment will somehow reflect on the changes that need to be made to get out of this hole.

Thank you all so much and I will keep battling, no matter how hard it is some days.

To my loyal carers (you know who you are ; those with the invaluable advice, those in the 'know', those with great links, those with caring, supportive messages, those with extraordinary offers of help, and those with deadly pens.....thank you all and I love you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    :hello: :hello: :hello: CGS!!! :j :j :j
You have been in my thoughts constantly angel - I'd guessed the internet access was the problem. Missed you :) Hope you're all well. I've got no-one to write any letters for.
You can access the internet in most local libraries for a small fee - or free?- and there's always internet cafes:rolleyes:
I have just printed off all the posts on this thread hun - if you want to PM me with a snail mail address & I'll post them off to you - there's 9 pages. I could post it to you today or tomorrow. Or if you'd prefer, you can go into to the top of 1st page, click on thread tools, click on view printable version and the posts change to 'normal' writing and then you can press print and get them.
    I've just had a letter-writing idea :j :j :j
    Ahem.....

    Dear [STRIKE]Pugface[/STRIKE],errr, Landlady,

I have asked you to please write a letter to the Council confirming the status of my tenancy and your intent to sell the property on various occasions, with no response from you to date, even though you had kindly agreed to do so.

I require your confirmation that you are selling the property in order to apply for alternative housing. This would undoubtedly also be beneficial to you in selling the property. Without this letter, I am unable to progress any further.

As I'm sure you will understand, my primary concern is the security of my family. I request once again a letter from you, stating that you have asked us to vacate your property and your intent to sell. There has been considerable strain on our health in trying to get this matter resolved and I cannot allow this situation to drag on any further for the sake of my children.

Should a letter not be forthcoming within 10 days, I will have no other recourse than to seek further advice as, effectively, you are preventing us from being rehoused. This may be viewed as a breach of your duties as our landlord.

I appreciate your time and understanding in this most urgent matter and look forward to a reply at your earliest convenience, so that this matter may be concluded to everyone's satisfaction.

    Yours sincerely,
    :p

    :rotfl:
Also CGS, I believe though I'm off now to research my facts that she has to give you it's either 4 or 8 weeks WRITTEN notice asking you to move and I think she has to list the reasons why anyway. Off to the Tiff vaults to check on that! Will get back very soon hopefully.

It was good to here from you and we haven't given up yet angel - thank you for getting in touch and bringing us up to speed. You're so very welcome hun - there are some really good souls on here who give excellent advice. You are not a problem in any way. I am also going to see if I'm allowed to word this letter more strongly.:D
    Huge hugs to you angel

    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

  • and when we took it on, our landlord and ourselves filled out the forms at the Council office with a Housing Officer. ?

I've been following your thread and sincerely hope your doing ok, If you lived near me I'd take you in myself.

You asked how do you prove what the housing officer said, you had your landlord with you when you filled out the forms. Now this guy just wants to sell his house not fall out with you as a person, so I dont see why he wouldnt tell the truth and help you out by stating he was witness to it all
