Ok so no one on the INTERNET section of the MONEY SAVING board knows of any free 30 day trials like the ones AOL used to do?

O2 have a 30-day money back guarantee I believe on their home broadband packages. There's an availability checker and reviews here http://www.chooseisp.co.uk/broadband-.../o2-broadband.asp

I wouldn't bother with O2 though if you can only get Home Access the "out of area" package, as it has very bad reviews.

I wouldn't say you get a free trial.. More like a cooling off period and most (well some) companies offer this.

02 do not offer a free trial, it's a normal 12m contract with an opt out in the first 30 days. If you take the opt out, you still pay for the 30 days.
I'm unclear why the OP thinks anyone would offer a true 30 days free trial?

I agree. What company would offer a free trial of service for one month sending out brand new equipment, arranging connection at the exchange setting up direct debits... to then pay for postage to send a returns kit out, not charge a penny, pay an advisor to take the cancellation call and take back equipment which is second hand and more or less worthless? They wouldn't do very well economically.
