If you plan to use it for ocassional browsing e.g. checking email, movie times, news stories every now and then, it should be enough for 1-2 months.
Most phones these days have "data counters" which will tell you how much you have used so you can keep track of your usage.

on the checking email front - you should also be able to set the phone to only download the email 'headers' - this will tell you the subject and who the mail is from and the total size of it. you can then choose whether to download the whole thing - or not. the data counter is a very useful tool - try using the phone for a week or so as you would normally and then see how much you've used - should give you an idea of how much you'll get through."Don't go around saying the world owes you a living.
