Can anyone help ?? Nokia Care are F***in useless !!!!

Problem..... I cannot download any apps onto my phone from Nokias OVI store on my mobile....Keeps coming up Unable to connect to server !!!... I cannot also update software from my phone using the SW updater widget on my phone......says connection prob !!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I have the latest firmware installed of: 21.0.045

Contacted Nokia care team 3 times now !!! explaining all of above....keep getting generic response of update to latest firmware !!! Is it me thats going mad ????

Can anyone help or had the same or similar prob ???

PS can still access internet browser etc on the phone so internet access is fine.

As oneaday suggests, it looks strongly like you don't have the network settings correct for the handset/network, did you have the handset from new with the asscoiated sim card?
usually you can get the settings sent to the handset from Nokia or the sim card provider's site, or call CS and they will send the settings to the phone, also with the apps usually you can download them onto the PC and simply drag/drop them onto the handset memory :j

Hi...my settings are all fine. And from Ovi store it doesn't let you download onto pc then drag to phone. Only gives me the option of send to phone in OVi store, it then sends a text with a link for you to open...which then takes you to mobile Ovi store which won't connect to internet aaaaaaargh.....technology..I hate it ! lol :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Have you set up an account with the OVI store then? thats the only thing I can think of right now if the data settingts are correct, I have a SE phone but can use OVI without fuss , but I do have an account set up

Yip have an account with Ovi and yip I do have Ovi suite too !!!

Used to work fine, then simply stopped working. SW update on the N97 not working either....keeps saying refreshing failed. Try again later !!!!

Aaaaaaaargh.....thinkin of jailbreaking it and just using 3rd party apps.

Take it a carphone warehouse store (nokia repair providers) and get them to flash the phone for you. If they can not, then they can send it free to nokia for you.

I've opted for factory rest after saving everything to Ovi suite on the PC... Lets see if this works ???? Hmmmmmmmm...........
