When Sky will not honour a broadband deal?

I am so mad, frustrated and feel helpless. Any advice would really help

Called Sky 3 weeks ago as they upgraded our downloading to Unlimited usage; up from £10pm to £15. I said £15 was too much and would look elsewhere - maybe O2 for £7.50pm.

He immediately said we could have Unlimited for £10. I was Ok with that.

Then over last week we got an acc statement with £15 on. Since then I have called, emailed, explained a dozen times what was agreed and pleaded for them to listen to the conversation. One said their Manager would check and call in 24 hrs: nothing
Another says the dept who made the offer are outsourced and don't record calls..
Customer Relations Dept exchanged emails with me, wouldnt answer a straight5 question, and wont honour the £10pm. Now they are not even replying to my emails!! And, you are not allowed to call them!!

So I am stuck, they will not honour what they said.
I may well tell them to stuff their Product and move elsewhere, but b4, does anyone know what I can do with Sky????

Can't really offer much help but just wanted to say I feel for you. I was offered a deal by a cs agent for our tv in dec and for the first month our bill reflected it but then the next month it had almost doubled.

When I called I was also told someone would listen to the call and I'd hear within 24 hours. 48 hours later I called back and there was no log on my account that I'd called, so requested the call be listed to again and was told it would take 1 week. 1 week later I called back and I was told it would take at least 3 months for them to listen to the call. Not happy with this I called again and was then told nothing had still been logged so ended up getting majorly pi**ed off and spoke to a manager who explained all calls are recorded and she'd put the request through there and then but couldn't give me a time frame - I'm still waiting for the call back lol but I was offered 50% discount for 6 months which was a better offer then the cs agent offered in the first place lol

Have you searched around for people's direct email addresses? I know someone in the sky hd thread emailed someone direct about been told he was getting a grade a box after expecting a brand new one and they ended up refunding him the cost of install, the cost of the box and something else but can't remember what lol

Hope you get something sorted soon !!

Edit - the person you want to email is Jeremy Darroch. His email can be found found on saynoto0870.co.uk if you search an alternative number for sky (didn't want to post his email address directly incase I got in trouble lol)

Edit 2 - sorry about spelling, not used to typing this early in the morning lol

Sky unlimited broadband is £15/month, however if you take Sky Talk (Free) you get a discount of £5 so only pay £10/month.
Sounds like you got a rouge sales agent.
It might be worth posting on https://www.skyuser.co.uk someone there may be able to help.
Alternatively you could try the boss's email.

That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • Thanks to both of you. Will try Sky boss and look at an alternative, poss using Windows Media Center on Windows 7 to stream live TV. Will then truly tell Sky where they can go!

Will post new blog under TV about Internet TV and ask anyone for info who has used ir, costs, set up etc.
