Our 1st time flying using the online check in system
My very daft question is as follows
When you do the online check in for the departure, does that also include your return?
If it doesnt- How the hell are you supposed to online check in for your return flight?

No it doesn't
You could try at an internet cafe ...
or ask at the hotel if you can use the computer to check in0 -

when you check in on line provided you return in 14/15 days (check airline) you print the return as well.
After 14/15days you will have to find a internet cafe with printer. It is worth checking if the destination airport have a printing area like stanstead when you arrive.0 -
It might - maybe you could get more information before saying no?
OP, which airline is it? How long are you away for?
OP Check your airline here :
http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Aer_Lingus/checkin.php
I have started with A but go to whatever airline you are flying with.
I don't think I'm wrong , but you never know.0 -
with ryanair yes you can check in up to 15 days in advance but with bmi baby there's actually conflicting advice on their own website. On one part it says with 72 hours of flying at the earliest so the poster would be able to check in for both flights at the same time, but i'm pretty sure on another area of their website it refers to 48 hours.0

From http://www.bmibaby.com/webapp/webcheckin.aspxOnline check-in is available from 8 days (24 hours for Geneva) up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time for all passengers travelling with one item of hand baggage per passenger with a maximum weight of 10kg. Hand baggage can not exceed 55cm x 40cm x 20cm in size and should fit comfortably into the bmibaby airport hand baggage gauge.
So you can check in for flights 8 days before you travel meaning you will be able to check in for your return flight before you travel.
When you enter your booking reference on the online check in, it will ask you which flights you wish to check in for and you will be able to select both.
(As an aside, I'm sure gobalds had the best intentions but the seatguru link is wrong or outdated. Personally, with all the rules with low cost airlines, I would never believe information relating to the airline unless it came from their own website)0 -
just looked on the seatguru link and that says you can check in online from 8 days before the flight0

just checked my email from bmibaby confirming details of my flight to paris next thursday and that definitely says I can check in online between 72 and 3 hours before the flight is due to leave. So just goes to show it is certainly not a daft question - I'm wondering if anyone knows whether this is a recent change by bmibaby?0
