  • Watch the entire collection of The West Wing, or another series, although I would definitely recommend The West Wing, or Sex and the City :D

Wife Swapping or Husband Swapping might be an idea.

We sit around downloading old songs with a few beers- always fun if you've a similar taste in music.

We also play MMOs- a bit geeky but if you're into computers it can be good- I recommend LOTRO lol. We play as two characters and team up online.

    Have a cocktail night?

We get hours of enjoyment out of trivial pursuits- picked up an immaculate version for £1 in local charity shop.

ETA as box sets have been suggested earlier- consider Heroes :)

  • Was going to say scrabble, but already been said.
Read to each other, including funny voices. Or husky voices depending on the book chosen.

If you'd said the alphabet game, I'd have been there!!!!!!!

MMOs? Sounds computery, so don't think that's for us.

And thanks for all the suggestions of DVDs, but we've done every series we're interested in watching. Heroes, Alias, 24 (1-8 twice), West Wing, Wire, Coupling, Friends, Blackadder, even Chronicles of Narnia (the BBC version:o) and Red Dwarf. For those of you who hadn't thought of it before, you can make some fun games up with these...eg every time Jack says "damn it" you have to do a forfeit. Lucy's "oh Aslan" has a VERY good memory attached to it ;)

We do Sing Star, and also buy two copies of the same book sometimes (ebay) and then read together and discuss. Those cold winter nights just fly by at our house....

We recently singed up to various free dvd trials and watched the whole 15 series of ER. Obviously we paid for a couple of months, but it was fun, a shared hobbie - we're now looking for something to fill the void...;)

also we joined a local bar that has music it cost us £5 each for membership although this is a life of the business membership and its now free to get into see the bands and a reduction on a bottle of wine £10 so costs us a fiver each :)
