Is it wrong to wear black to a wedding?

I thought black and white weddings were very fashionable a few years ago. Certainly I went to one in Washington DC where guests were expected to wear black and white, not colours.0

If you wear it with bright accessories (purple works well), then I think it should be OK. I'd lose the black jacket though.
June is quite a way away and the summer stuff is in the shops now so maybe it's worth going to look and see if you find anything you like that's more colourful, and keep the black dress as a back up? Hi Sarah!
I wore an LBD to a wedding last year. I teemed it with a white cardi - trendy short one. I wore black kitten heels and took a small black satiny bag. At the evening do i whipped the cardi off and fitted in just fine.
If you like it and are comfy, go for it!One step at a time0 -
i dont think black is a problem at all,
wearing white however...is naughty0 -

If you're unsure, check with the bride and groom, but make sure that whatever you end up wearing, you're comfortable in. The dress you linked to is lovely!
My bridesmaids will be in black (with black & white shoes and white flowers) and as it's a civil ceremony I don't think it really matters...0
