I've worn black to a wedding before with pink accessories and no-one commented.
To be honest I didn't even think about it.I say go for it.

One of our guests wore white which my sister got the right hump on about!! I didn't notice till she mention it. I wouldn't have noticed if my guests had all turned up naked to be honest. I was so caught up in the wonderfulness of the day.Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

I say wear what you want. Being of the metal/gothic persuasion I'm very into black
I wear colour sometimes but just because it's a wedding doesn't mean you have to wear bright colours. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. Unless you are a bridesmaid then I don't think anyone can really tell you what to wear. If they were really worried they would put it on the invite "no black" LOL. Seriously though, wear what makes you happy. The couple will be concentrating on their own outifts no doubt.

I think black would be fine. Your accessories sound colourful so I'm sure you would get away with it. I'm sure they would be pleased with you being there rather than what you wear.:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Hi Sarah!
I work somewhere that organises weddings and (as girls do!) we always wait to see the bride come in. I remember a loads of us were waiting for about half an hour or so only to be told that she'd already walked passed...dressed in black!! We had noticed this girl as the dress was long and silky but we never realised it was the bride.
My best mate dressed in black to go to her sister's wedding and teamed her outfit up with a lovely scarf/shawl thing so I don't see any harm in wearing black!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

I haven't the whole thread but it should be fine but then it depends on the accessories/hat that you choose to go with it.
