Sony Ericson K800i pay monthly

have been on contract with o2 with my SE k750i which ran out in july. only just checked today and realised that my contract had run out and did not really have to continue with o2.
I called upgrades. Was offered terrible deals so asked to be put through to retentions. I wanted the K800i and told the guy that I could get the phone at mobileshop under Orange for a lot cheaper but would prefer to stick with o2. After a lot of persuading, initially he wanted to give me other SE phones not as good as the K800i, but I refused. finally he gave me the phone for £69.99 and a discount of £10 a month on my current tarriff which is online 50. so basically will be paying £9 a month for 12 months and it is a 12 month contract. So am really happy. I am so glad I came across MSE or else I would have been one of those silly people who never check their contract and continue paying full price eventhough they qualify for a free phone for continuing to keep their contract.:j
