Thanks, smlsave
It's going to be hard, I have to say. Ah well, it could be worse!
Anyway, £30 OP made today - £20 from paypal withdrawal & £10 from tax credits. We finally got an award of £10.42/ week - first payment this week. The monies due going back to April are being held until the end of the year to see if our income is as low as we have predicted - we had exceptionally high income last year due to a large redundancy payment for DH. I'm going to put the tax credits into OPs as much as I can, I think.... it's money we've not had, so won't miss is how I'm going to view it.

Urgh!!!! Have 39 items listed on ebay and have lost the will to live! Still have lots to list but have decided most of the pile in the next room can go on at 99p start, so can list those over the next few days. I have some bigger items in the garage loft but I can't get there so they can wait for another FLD/ FLW.

Lol! It was hard going, I have to say - and I was too wired from having been at the laptop for ages to get to sleep until almost 2 - by which time DS3 woke up for a feed!
I have a bid on one thing this morning (at £20) so that's good. Tonight when the children are in bed I will attempt to list 5 more things at 99p starts and do that most nights this week (possibly in front of the tv, I feel....). I've taken some photos, it's just having the will to do it now. I'm not motivated for teeny things, even though they do add up and get rid of clutter. Part of me says just shove it all on freegle, but the MFW bit of me won't do that without giving it a go and getting something for them!!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
4 things listed tonight - a friend popped up on MSN, so I abandoned ebay for a chat instead! I did find another 2 things today to add to the 'pending' pile though.
I just hope some of the stuff actually goes now!!!!
Music Magpie cheque arrived today, so will pay that in tomorrow and transfer it to mtge account - only a small OP, but it's another one for July. Will probably then be my last July OP. Not expecting much cashback next month either - looks like it'll kick into Sept (I've got a £70, a £30 and a £40 all tracked etc but not yet received) Aug will be possibly quite lean - but we are off to Newcastle for a few days (will take kids up there as DH is working up there and we'll find some stuff to do in the daytimes) so that'll be hotel/ food costs and then we're away 3 or 4 nights over BH weekend - camping, but there'll be food. And it's our anniversary and my BF's 40th (and I have NO idea what to get her!!!!) Urgh!! I think any OP will be a miracle, looking at that lot!!Oh - and I forgot school shoes x3, some new bits of uniform, first shoes for DS3 (took first steps at weekend, so won't need shoes until he's steadier - probably month end, so will do it at same time as school shoes) (that'll be a bill in the shoe shop of about £130 - and that's not taking into account any trainers/ wellies etc required.....)

Hello - thanks for popping in xx

Motivation for ebay - urgh! It's hard - but it's my main source of OPs at the moment, so I'm trying to keep it up. Haven't done any the past 2 days though - too tired and lacking in motivation where DH is away. Will do some tonight on a 10 day listing so they finish on a Sun eve though
Thanks for asking about DH! He doesn't mind the job - but says there's masses of work to do and that it's been rushed so far. Hates being away from home and hates the hotel - needs to find a place to rent (sanity and cost - 1 month's rent = just over 1 week's hotel bill) He can then cook food, rather than eating rubbish all teh time (not good - diabetic and slightly overweight) He has to go up on Sunday afternoons, too - so actually ends up only being at home for about 44 hours! Not good with 4 children and it being the summer hols!! Still, it's a job & money (although he is struggling - but I'm sure it will get easier)
Right - off to see what everyone else has been up to! We were out all day (unexpectedly) with family at Slimbridge WWT - good fun but tiring and not planned for, so trying to catch up. Just had 3 family members unexpectedly visit this morning too! DS1 has a tutor here now (literacy) and then we're off out to an NCT meeting in a park so the children can play! Still, being busy keeps me away from teh goodies in the fridge!!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200
