Oh, sounds awful! And even worse as he is the hubby of a friend.
It can be so hard to get decent tradesmen, can't it!Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

How annoying about the tradesman. I was recommended a joiner who did an amateur job and it's very disappointing isn't it. I also thought he had eaten a packet of biscuits when I first read your post. I thought 'how rude!'June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Quick £50 OP made today from coins in moneybox and selling some stuff.
Sooo slow at the moment!
DH got paid today. Need to figure out money this week. He STILL hasn't claimed any expenses this year...We seem to be haemorrhaging money at the mo, but have been buying presents, bits for house, car tax, house insurance..... etc etc...
Half term here this week. Need to label up all my bits n pieces for NCT sale (2 weekends away) Also have a couple of bags for 'Cash4clothes' but will wait until after NCT sale, as am likely to add some of the unsold items to the pile. That's all the OPs I have planned for Nov- well, not including my regular OP in the DD payment. Expensive time of year with Xmas, 2 x DC birthdays and some other stuff going on. PLus a couple of Xmas meals (cheap-ish ones, but it all adds up)
DH is at work this week except Fri - when we're looking at using our free return ticket to West Midlands Safari Park. Might see if we can fit something else in, too. Definitely need to go clothes shopping with ever-growing DD!
Also need to catch up on everyone's diaries this week! Time has been flying past recently..I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
Everything comes at once sometimes! It only seems to get worse at this time of year especially trying to control the xmas budget.:D Ps , still no expenses claimed, slapped wrist for you dh!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Just popping by to say how well you are doing..
but trying to find out why you are filling up your ISAS and not putting all your money in your mortgage..
I might amit i don't know what a ISA is ..
can some one explain for me .. am i doing something wrong i have no saving just OP on morgage. i know i am meant to put 6 months of saving away. but i also think of wasted intrest by doing this.
Any way keep up the good work.£176,000 January 20140
