  • Nice to see you, great to be in the 70s. Your story is inspiring, having the mortgage in six years is brilliant.
  • well done on that figure greent!!
still havent got around to any ebaying (not sure there is much here worth selling! ;) ) but maybe set yourself mini targets eg £50 by xmas or something! Thats mine anyway!...

Morning all you lovely lot! :)

£100 OP today - £50 cash from mortgage coin tin, £8 cash from selling some clothes £36 cashback and then rounded up to £100.

As you may have guessed, still no ebaying done :D - I have set myself a target to list 5 things this week - only 99p starting ones, but it's a start. There is an NCT nearly new sale here next month where I'll try and sell a load of the kids clothes and toys - should hopefully make £50. (kids get the money from toy sales, I get clothes and equipment money). I've got about another £50-60 cashback pending - should hopefully all arrive before Xmas. Ideally I'd like to extra-OP about £485 before year end - would bring balance to just below £76k...

Bathrooms are finally being started next month - full change for main bathroom, DDs ensuite and also the downstairs loo - which means the flooring in the hall is being changed, as it's a run-through. Expecting final totals to come to about £10K for all of it!!:eek: They all really need doing, though - it's honestly not just a cosmetic thing... DD has no shower, (a hole where one was (leaked into hall), no flooring, bare plastered walls, no radiator and the sink is cracked. Main bathroom loo is broken and has no flooring (damaged by 'flood' created by DS1 & DS2) Shower is dodgy and bath is scratched, panel is broken and all the fittings (lovely 'gold' ones) are disgusting. Downstairs loo is temperamental and flushes when it wants to. Radiator is broken.

Still - DH has work until Xmas at least :D:D:j

20 items listed on ebay on the FLW - sadly no bids on anything yet! A few watchers, though, so a couple MAY turn into sales.... Ah well! 150 items labelled ready for the NCT nearly new sale on Saturday, so some of them at least should selll!! Also have 2 boxes of books and a couple of ornaments to take to WI tomorrow - books priced at 20/30p, but they're only going to charity otherwise, so every little helps and it's all 'junk' out of the house which is always a good thing! I have another 2 binliners of books to take to the local dog/ cat rescue centre and a couple of blankets and towels for them, also - will aim to do that Friday if organised enough this week! I gave a large full carrier of bits n pieces to Samaritans Op Xmas Child cause too - not money raising, but clutter clearing.

The bathrooms have been started yesterday - DD's ensuite is now totally empty and has holes in walls (for 'rubber' lining behind plasterboard/ tiles for shower) and floor (for shower tray pipework) The showers for her ensuite and the boys bathroom arrived today - £369 each!:eek: The majority of the rest of the stuff (loos/ sinks/ bath taps etc etc etc) should arrive today/ tomorrow, I think - we totally tidied/ cleared the garage at the weekend so there is plenty of room for it all to go in. I'll just figure out cashflow and paying for it all at a later date......!

I was meant to go to Homebase and get paint testers today (B&Q didn't have any of the ones I wanted) but DS2 is off school with a lovely vomiting bug - so we're not going anywhere!! I shall try and nip out when DH is back from work instead.

Anyway, £10 OP made today. With regular OP balance is now appx £78860 :D. Any OPs I make at the mo are going to HAVE to come from ebay/ cashback etc as the bathrooms are going to take all available cash at the moment... I shall just have to keep listing stuff at 99p wherever I can and plugging away at it... I can't rescue any of the current bathrooms to sell because they are so grim/ broken etc.... it's a shame... :(

Next OP to be after NCT NNS, hopefully! ALthough I won;t get the money until after we come back from Disneyland Paris - damn! Spending money for that also has to be taken account of in current cashflow.....!!:eek::eek:

Off to ponder just where I can get extra money from......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The bathrooms work sounds quite chaotic but hopefully be sorted soon. Good luck with ebay sales and the NCT sales. I thinking clearing space whilst making money is just genius!
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Thanks! The bathrroms will take a month to do!! That does include the downstairs loo and flooring for there and hall (having parquet style Karndine (?) - looks fantastic!) - that'll take 2 days alone. That's being done whilst we're in Disneyland Paris - can't walk on teh flooring compound ofr several hours - impossible in a house of six when the floor concerned is the hall!! :D

Ebay items end today. One has a bid (7.50) and another has 4 watchers - so at least one item'll be going!! The rest won;t be, but hey ho! I'm not going to relist until we come back as if anything sold before then it might not get paid for until we're away. I'm taking a stack of items with me to WI tonight to try and sell - only for pennies, but should hopefully get another £5 if I'm lucky

Have about another dozen items to label for NCT sale - must do so!!

    Dh's birthday tomorrow :D
