Don't you work then greent :rotfl:.
Haha! Out of home work is Thurs and Fri this week - although have spent part of today on company stuff, for which I do draw a salary.
Today is much like yesterday so far - up at 6.10 - usual shower/ dress/ dry hair fitted around making 4 packed lunches, putting a load of washing on, doing some washing up, prepped some veg for my lunch, collected washing which had aired overnight, checking school bags (for smallest 2), doing a small bit of ironing, took small ones to school. Had a word with Head about something, caught up with a mum friend for 10 mins. Went to Tesco, did some shopping, went to SWorld (put on 1/2lb) - helped out as usual weighing peopleGot home from SW at 11.05 - put shopping away. Did 1 1/2 hours paperwork (household/ personal stuff - sorting/ filing/ shredding/ recycling), had lunch, 1 1/4 hours of company paperwork , sorted wet washing, collected more dry washing. Put ironing and dry washing away. Collected small 2, came home, washed up their lunch things. Vacuumed lounge, dining room, hallway and kitchen. Relocated various bits from house out to garage. Prepped dinner as DS1 and DD home - DD chatted to me until 5 in kitchen. Fed everyone. Small amount of phonics homework with DS3. Wrote a letter for OH re his sharedealing account as he phoned them up and got the query totally wrong and they won't let me enquire! Spoke to OH just. Taking DS1 to Army Cadets in a mo - trying to get DS3 to finish phonics first. WIll throw small 2 quickly into bath and then take DS3 to bed. Hopefully watch Holby whilst doing latest ironing and some more paperwork before collecting DS1 from Army Cadets. Will do some prep for tomorrow's lunchbags, check to-do list and then try and catch up on HFW's programme from last night whilst reconciling company accounts
Then bed - but I think CSI Cyber is on, so not until after then (11pm) (will do something whilst watching it - have a whole heap of Charity paperwork to file, so possibly that)

Could you pop round and sprinkle some of your organisation fairy dust here?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
You're like Superwoman Greent. Really impressed with how much you achieve. Take care though.

Crikey greent... I feel very lazy now. Am going to have to go do something to alleviate my conscience!
Hope you've survived the rest of the week oka penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. Sounds busy but lovely. Wish my empty nest was still full!Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
hello again greent ….
Agree with all the above - hope 'out of home' work on Thurs/Fri gave you a bit of a break:rotfl::rotfl:, but your home does sound wonderful too.
Last night I finished catching up with the greentribe chronicles all the way through. Wow, you are an inspiration :T You've had and got so much to juggle, and your positivity really comes through your posts.
Aside from huge congrats on being MF :T:T:T, I wanted to say how massively impressed I am by your decluttering. I loved the lists of what was going where, and it's given me a much needed kick of encouragement to get on with mine. (Since you don't seem to have too much to occupy your days :rotfl::rotfl:, I wondered if you might be available for hire/borrowing to get others decluttered? …)
Here's hoping you have a lovely weekend

Evening all - sorry for my awol-ness again!
Unsurprisingly, that level of activity was shattering! I took it a bit easier last week - I still had some days where I had multiple activities on with children, but it just seemed less stress - probably because I neglected housework (other than ironing) and decluttering a bit more.
Week three now and OH was at home yesterday because it was his aunt's funeral (his mum's sister) - she died 10 days ago from cancer, so not unexpected, but still not nice. Hit him hard, as it made him think of his mum more, and he found the funeral very difficult. He drove back up to London last night - normally he takes the train, but thought he'd drive up and take his brother back (lives somewhere in London) and a heap of clothes, so he has more stuff up there. He has just phoned me to say someone has reversed into his car today whilst at work and badly damaged the rear passenger door on the driver's side. It's a sliding door (VW Sharan) so he thinks it's going to be a whole new doorNo note left
so he's just about to phone insurance co.
Aside from that, DS1 had a great parents eve last week - predicted some fab GCSE grades for most subjects -and the ones he's not predicted such great grades (but should still pass) are Art, German and Engineering - as he wants to be an army medic, I'm not concerned too much about those subjects. A level choices (Chem, Bio, Maths and either Physics or Psychology) are all apparently good with the maths dept also wanting him to take further maths and physics wanting him to take that rather than psych (psych have no opinion, as it's only brought in at A level and the teacher doesn't know him) Am pleased for him
Any money news? - no, not really. Still going on as was. Paying out for BTL to be totally redecorated at mo, ready for a new tenant hopefully in NY. Kitchen man has been in touch. Oh - and we need some work doing on our roof - minimum cost £800, but they can't really tell how bad it is until they get up there and get some tiles offAlso our f/freezer is definitely on its way out, so am inclined to order a new one sooner rather than later so I don't lose anything
On that note, we are still eating out of fridge/ freezer/ cupboards - but it's going down v slowly. I did buy some bargainacious chicken fillets which filled a gap in the freezer and therefore didn't help, but chicken is a staple. I am making real effort on frozen fruit and veg whilst OH is away - some of it he's not fussed on, so it's easier to eat it for lunches when he's not here.
DD is 18 in 2 1/2 weeks - eek! I *think* I've got all of her pressies sorted - need to sort out this week and then see if I have anything left for her for Xmas! I know I still need to get cards for birthday, and decide upon cake.
Re: Xmas - I have been wrapping presents and writing cards today. Finally labelled up all of my chutneys and jams properly so I could then box them up for people. Xmas prep isn't too bad - I spent all of my firebox credit on things for people last week (alcohol for me and some friends, choc pizza for DD for her bday, some mugs as a present and a skull USB thing for DS1) and then bought some more pressies at the Victorian Xmas Market held at Gloucester Quays last weekend. My main problems are DS1 (awkward and doesn't want anything), OH (doesn't need anything) and my mum (buys herself loads of stuff all the time) Other than that (and checking DD is sorted), I think I'm almost there (although need to get elderly aunt an Oxfam voucher thing for a well or similar)
I will have enough Xmas cards/ tags/ bags/ wrap for 2016, 2017 and possibly 2018.....!!!!
Am almost caught up on everyone's diaries again - should manage the last remaining ones in the next day or so! And I also have a couple of PMs to reply to - sorry!! xx
