I'm not contributing to as many sugar highs this evening! :D
Halloween is quite big in Spain - we even had three kids from the village traipse way up the hill to us - we went down the village later on and there were lots of sugar rushes running around very noisily - I pitied the parents :rotfl:.

Hello greent … just popped onto your thread to thank you for your suggestions, I have made a veggie curry this evening from one of those links :)
More importantly though - congrats on being mortgage free … :T:T:T
your thread is still on my list to read through so I didn't realise but have just seen your signature FANTASTIC :):j:j:beer::j

Glad you liked the website, Hollyboll - I find it useful for ideas for veg when I need inspiration :)

And thank you - not sure we've felt the 'ease' on our finances yet, though - been paying for work to the house which we put off whilst OPing! :D:D

    Thanks, apple :) x

Today has been ok - OH left about 6.30am - had a late start time of 10am for his first day :)

Dropped smallies off after waking DS1 (inset day) and then came home, prepped my dinner (bubble & squeak using yesterday's leftover veg & some extra veg from fridge & freezer) and tidied part of the freezer & cleaned and sorted fridge. Am going to make a real effort to eat the frozen fruit & veggies down whilst OH is away. I'm happy to eat a lot of primarily veg based meals, esp for lunches. Will help to run down some stocks before Christmas :)

Then I attacked a bit of DS1's room with him - found a heap of dirty washing around :( and we thoroughly sorted his wardrobe - removed too small and unloved clothes & footwear (although did repurpose 1 tshirt from daywear to a PJ top) Recycled a lot of old schoolwork and removed general rubbish. Also sorted out a lot of games in his room - most have gone for future NNS, a couple have been offered to DS2. He then vacuumed. That took us until nearly lunchtime :)

I sewed DS2's SIlver Scout badge onto his jumper, mended a couple of items of clothing, did some washing, tidied kitchen , priced some of the NNS items, listed some things on ebay, caught up on the ironing (and put most of it away) and then it was time to collect the small ones. Came home, caught up on their day, emptied bags, washed up, DD came home - chatted to me for about 40 mins, I fed the boys, took DS1 & DS2 to Cubs, came home, fed myself and DD, got DS3 ready for bed, put dishwasher on, collected DS2 from Cubs and went to Silver Scout Award Presentation Evening. DS1 walked home. Got home just before 8.30 with DS2 (thankfully we were first in the queue for getting his cert signed and we didn't stay for refreshments) DS3 was still just about awake so came downstairs :( Got him back off to sleep, came back down (making sure DS2 was going to sleep), had a chat with DD & DS1 (individually), did some more ironing, emptied dishwasher. Prepped 4 lunched for tomorrow (still need to make sandwiches in morning) Wrote shopping list for tomorrow, wrote to do list for week, got uniforms ready for small 2 for morning. Ate too many sweets!! :D Caught up on MSE whilst watching Criminal Minds - now off to bed :)

OH - did hardly any work all day as they've not set up IT access for him. Finished work before 4 and was back at hotel shortly after. Takeaway for dinner. Watched tv most of the evening and finished Sunday's paper (which I didn't even open yesterday :(). Bed an hour ago.

My alarm time tomorrow is 6am. His is 7.30 - and even then he can take it easy before work!

I'd rather be at home with my children though :)

    xx
