Yes, so does mine, which says something about the water pressure used to spray the dishes.  A small thing to live with knowing it is really aiming to get items clean.

So the dw arrived yesterday - and the guys from JL were total stars - however, we haven't yet used it as we have a dodgy pipe connection under the sink (a result of the wm installation - it just keeps on giving.... - they used a too-short hose which has pulled on pipes - I heard them mention it at the time and we did end up with a leak under there afterwards (but were more concerned with reclaiming the cost of a new cupboard door) which DH thought he'd rectified, However, more installation work under there yesterday means that the pipes just will not stay together any longer - cue buying a set of Fr@nke under-sink pipes @ £25 plus £16 delivery charge to ensure delivered today (fab service from where DH ordered it from, too - ordered after daily cut off time for next day delivery, but explained to woman on phone and they sorted it ) So that's his job for this afternoon (his job this morning was to take DD to her flat to collect last of the things left there (wouldn't fit in my car) and she's taken lots of pics for the letting agent inspection for end of tenancy - they are now on their way home and should be back v soon) Looking forward to being able to use the dw (and sink, and wm.....)

Slightly discombobulated this morning - found out a friend died 2 nights ago (brain tumour) - slightly younger than me (ie: not yet 50) and has 3 children and a grandchild. So sad. And has affected me more than I thought it would.

Lovely day out in the forest this week - gorgeous weather (and we found shade - and a picnic bench became free not long after we got there - whoop!) - super chilled few hours - AND the toilets were open, as was the cafe - yummy icecreams therefore consumed!  

Pay week - so some money shuffling will happen - will report back Also looking to send Florida funds (that we have - still awaiting some) to PSB - it can be 'forgotten' about there and may even get a win or two

Thank you, everyone   I really feel for her 3 children - none are 'super' young, but the youngest is still only 19 and the other 2 mid/ mid- late 20s -  so all still need her (2 are at uni, the other has a very young child) -she was too young to die and was a lovely person. Whilst we hadn't seen each other in a while (she moved to rural Wales) we used to spend a lot of time together around the time I started this diary and still stayed in contact. I knew she was seriously ill but didn't realise death would be so soon - she's still been very active on fb00k up to a few days ago and not mentioned anything related to her illness for a while. I was only thinking about arranging a meet up after c0vid with her and the rest of 'the gang' to see how everyone was and have a proper catch up (we all used to be in contact with one another daily and meet up as a whole monthly and smaller groups more often than that but life moves on - job changes, house moves etc and we see less and less of one another - I thought post c0vid could be a good way to catch up - maybe a post c0vid remembrance meet for her instead could be an idea - although I know 3 of the others are in the shielding category, so would want it to be truly over, I suspect)

I've just paid the last £500 of my tax bill - I know it's not due until Jan, but I'll earn literally pence on that (if that!) and I like to have accounts cleared. I've also just roughly done DH's SA tax return - his bill is just under £400, assuming I've got all figures correct (awaiting P11D (due mid July) and I need to check if he's got any GAid donations I've missed) I've also given(sent email) DH a spreadsheet with accounts on (no numbers, just providers, what sort of account and in whose name they are) as he has no clue! Most money is in my sole name, just because he has nothing to do with it (he earns it, I look after it) - although he did discover he has a monthly saver he claims to have no knowledge of (I did tell him at the time I opened it!)

The sale of my nan's house is well and truly out of my hands now (with the executors) but I believe it's getting close - fingers crossed it happens by end of July (I consider that close! )  I believe my mum may give me some money from it, too (nothing exciting - the house will net around £140K and is split between the 5 remaining offspring - so no-one is getting earth-shattering amounts!) - at least that's what she has said  

DH has changed pipework - no more leaks!!! And the dw has had its maiden run All is good....
