I think what Graham was pointing out was that it is sensible to check that money has cleared into your account before spending it.

You just picked up on the part you could pick up on. i.e. saw something you didnt like, then saw somewhere where you could pick up on it. Argos is a bit different to your local hifi store, or even grocery store on the corner.
