I wouldn't take the complaint to the school but take it higher to either the governers or some authority above the school.
The fact that you are concerned about what is being said shows enough nous that you are concerned about what your children eat. A cheese sandwich isn't unhealthy. A nutrigrain bar may not be completely healthy and misleading in its name but surely it is better than a bar of chocolate?
We used to have a sandwich, packet of crisps, a chocolate biscuit and a piece of fruit in our packed lunch. And that is perfectly fine, healthy and balanced.
You have to remember that they will have something at break and they are children running about and working it off.
This head seems totally ott and dictator like.0
