AOL still charging after Switch

Hi,
I supplied Plusnet with the MAC code from AOL and the broadband switch was made on 25 Feb. I just looked at my bank statement and saw that AOL charged as normal on the 16th of March. I have just tried logging into AOL mail and sure enough, it let me.
Was I oblivious to think that AOL would automatically end? (I do not have a contract and I have that in writing.). Should I have notified them? Isn't that what asking for a MAC code is?

You should always check that your account is fully closed after successfully completing a migration.
If AOL requires 30 days notice (some ISPs do) then it is possibly the reason, though you should still check whether or not the account is closed (or not).0 -
i'm thinking of getting aol MAC and maybe to plusnet due to reducing cost
how long does this process take
same thing happened when i moved tiscali to sky and tiscalli continued to charge me and then i cancelled direct debit and they kept sending me threatning letters etc,0 -
cancelling a DD does nothing (except potentially harming your credit score) - you should phone and make sure it is closed0

They have to supply your MAC within 5 working days. Then say 7-10 days from sign up to migration. No free lunch, and no free laptop
