Friday 26th March - What small DFW things have you done today?!

Comments

  • Quick update:
    • phone training centre to see if I passed my exams - passed with Distinction :j
    • phone poultry farm as one of my new girls seems off colour - hope it's just the change of food, environment etc :( - the lovely owner confirmed it was most probably just the stress of moving, new routine, new food and apparently they get stressed in bad weather (don't we all!!!)
Needless to say I am on a high this afternoon :D

Not a DFW as such, more a future never again DFW , so to achieve that I need to get back to my militant finance regime.

Today I have transferred 250 to my savings account and made a payment of 400.
This savings is for my car, and the horrendous insurance and road tax I will probably have to pay, so almost up to 3K in that.
Currently doing lessons, have paid up front for another 16 lessons, and wanting to pass for the summer.

As its payday as well, so my FNADFW thing of today will be to get myself back in the scrooge mindset lol

Will also be doing some IT study and if i feel better (have flu) then might get on the cross trainer.

Or alternatively i might spend all day on the net lol

Either way neither things cost (are already paid for)

v cheesed off - aforementioned account which co-op are closing have cancelled my card and advised the only way I can get my money (pay day today) is by going into a branch (closest one over 40 miles away) or transferring the money to another account.

Got the funds transferred and he said would be immediate transfer and yet it is not showing up in my account - yet again they have mucked me about. So angry with them and just wanted to rant!!

Picasso - Enjoy your crisps :)
Angel Flower - How blinking annoying of Co-op! I hope you get it sorted

Well done Stitching Witch!!! You rightly so should be on a huge high :T:T:T:T

45 mins left of work! Then off to swimming for me!! I was trying to do this every friday after work while inlaws have my daughters. DF plays squash while i swim. I really enjoy this 'me' time but haven't been for about 5 weeks due to illness with me and the kids or appointments with schools and a girls night out! So hooray for tonight!

Paid in wages!! I actually have £260 left from March!! Also have £90 coming over from paypal. So i have £350. (120 thanks to no C tax). This is down to keeping a lid on my spending. I have also paid £88 for my DD's swimming this month so i have done really well.

I have some more money to pay off next. Though they are messing me around with picking up a £70 canvas print that has been in my lounge since last year!!! They promise to get someone to collect it and then i hear nothing! Driving me looney. So i am going to leave that £70 on my account and write a harsh letter. So need £155 to completely clear next!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO

Hi all - worked today but Friday is usually my day off so I am all discombobulated. ( I like having an excuse to use that word :p ). Today I:

    1) Went to work
    2) Claimed expenses
    3) Bought a top for 50p from the charity shop and have advertised it for sale at £5 already. Fingers crossed.
    4) Got enough points from Piggy clicks to claim a cinema voucher.
    5) Renewed car insurance and will hopefully get £75 back through Quidco.
    6)Returned DVD to library.
    7) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc

We are off out to the carvery later to celebrate Mum's bday and then B is going to an all night stayawake at her school  It is a fundraiser for a school trip. Methinks we shall all be paying for it tomorrow, she will be like a bear with a sore head.

    Sparkle - it's the weekend!
