What a gorgeous day - the sun is shining and everything looks lovely and spring like........but then they say there's a possibility of snow showers next week

DH got another tax rebate today, going to use it to treat our friend and her kids to a day out, she's been running us around to appointments etc so will be lovely to treat her. :T

It is quite nice, don't like these grey clouds moving in though :(
Hmmm, I wonder if I can get another load of washing dry?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Head change time.

Luc - I would let M know what has happened - don't be put off by the other woman saying not to mention what has been said, it's because she is trying to control the situation and manipulate it. Don't be pushed out by her, but at the same time, think about how much stronger you now are and whether now is the time to put the situation straight and move on with your head held high (and with her put in her place).

Busy after work stuff to do. See Charlie, pick up prescription, go to try to find mini petit four cup thingies in Tesco (I'm doing a chocolate course on Tuesday - as a learner - looking forward to it :) ) and find a nice bottle of red wine for a relaxing weekend ;) To go with the bottle of rose I already have :D  Any suggestions for a nice red from Mr T at the moment?

luc what a horrible horrible lady, bully and immature idiot!

Back from hairdressers, not much different just about 2 inches shorted but still nice all the same. Luc I love that dress and remember the picture of you in it.

really should finish tidying the house but going to have a sit down until 2pm :)

    Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
    10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
    20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)

    considering applying for a job...............it's only 42k though.............whadda ya think..............:rotfl:

seriously though, it's the same level as a post I had 10 years ago (before I was made redundant the first time!) and would mean moving back into PR/communications which I said I would never do after my Cruella era experiences in my last job.........but.........it would also be full circle as it's not only with the same council I'm currently with, but back into the department where I started my PR/media career in 1993! Back then there was me and my boss and we started the department. There are now 11 staff - 10 of which this post manages!!

Not sure I want that level of hassle any more............but for 2.5k clear a month.........it would soften the blow!!!

Sounds ideal BB - nothing ventured, eh?! Has a nice symmetry to it. Give it a go.

Lizzie, sorry you are having problems with your budget. Have you tried making a meal plan? I find that helps me to stop buying things I don't need. Shopping online is good for that too. You can often find a code to cover the delivery charge, or have it delivered later at night which is usually cheaper. The most I ever pay for delivery is £3.50, and it's well worth it to have that level of control over what I'm buying.

If you are over budget when you have all your items listed, you can fiddle around with it before checking out, without the hassle of having to put things back on shelves.
