I don't know how to change the title, I'll see if I can edit it by going into my first post!

Is there any company that can offer genuinely low rates of interest to the more vulnerable? There seems to be an opening for a genuine company to clean up this market.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

i had a loan once, but i got it with my bank, no problems paying it back early, interest refunded etc so i only paid interest for the time i had the loan. i was bloody lucky cause i was so ignorant about money then that i could have been taken advantage of.

as a side note i put my details on an internet site about loans and still get calls now, we're talkin four years ago i applied! and i'm sooooo not likely to say yes a second time!

My daughter did it before I was able to get home and stop her. They sold her a book of vouchers for Argos, HMV etc. for £60 and asked her for £6 per week over 20 weeks! Did she get a telling off for that one especially as she nagged the OH to act as guarantor. Then last year (just before christmas) they offered her a card (like a credit acrd they said) and as she was working at the time she took it. Fortunately she never used it so they got it back in tiny pieces.

Its having a half decent credit rating that gets you anywhere near less than 30% APR !
