Which Euro To UK Plug Adapter Do I need?

Hi, can anyone give me advice on which adapter I need to buy, please?
I've bought a meat mincer with a Euro plug on. On the plug it says 2.5A - Is this the size of the fuse?
If so, do I need to buy an adapter with the same size fuse in?
I've looked on Ebay and there are many adapters with different fuses. I did find one fitted with a 2.5A fuse....What's confusing me as well though, is that the 2.5A adapter says that it can take a maximum of 600W. But the mincer states it has a maximum of 1000W?

I haven't a clue about such things, so any help/advice is much appreciated :)

    Why don't you just cut the Europlug off and put a 13amp plug on instead.
    I can afford anything that I want.

    I could be very wrong about this ,but i would cut off the euro plug and fit a u.k one with a 3 amp fuse.

    Amps = watts / volts

    Amps = 1000/230

    Amps = 4.34
    Not Again

    Thanks for the replies :)

    I'm still not clear on what I need though. My son has found an adapter from one of his old games consoles. We found one that looks identical on the net and it's a universal one that takes 2 and 3 pin plugs. His has a 13A fuse in. If my mincer has a 2.5A, can I use this adapter that has a 13A? My son recons it's fine to use one with a much higher fuse. Is he right, or not?

    Also the Euro 2 pin plug fits in the adapter either way up, so how do I know which is the right way?

    Which bit don't you understand?
    Let me try and say it slightly differently...

    Perhaps you could cut the wire near the Euro plug and prepare the end of the wire and fit a standard 13A plug.

    This video may help.

    Thanks for the video. I haven't wired a plug for 20 odd years and probably only ever done it twice. So, I didn't feel very confident about doing that. Also I have no idea what colour wires are in the Euro plug, and if different from UK, I'd have no idea which went where. I'd then have to come back here and 'hope' that someone would reply and tell me.
    So, an adapter seems an easier option.

    I do have a 13A UK plug though....So, if anyone would be kind enough to tell me what to expect (wire colours, and where exactly they go) if I cut the wire on the Euro plug, I'd be very grateful :)

    All you need to do is to change the fuse in the converter, they are interchangeable. Make sure that the converter is fitted with a 5amp fuse and it will be fine for the mincing machine. If you cannot get a 5amp fuse then a 13 amp will be fine. Interesting site this, I never knew that you buy these converters. I suppose, because I have never needed one.

    Here is the simple option to change them without cutting any wires;

    Does the Euro plug actually contain a fuse? If it does then its fine to run through the 13A adaptor as the 2.5A fuse will still be in place.

    It just says 2.5A on the plug, so I assumed that was the fuse?

    I decided to buy a new adaper from Ebay, as I wasn't too sure about my son's old one. It's got a 13A fuse in, but from the replies, it sounds like it should be fine.
    The only thing that I'm not sure of now, is which way up the European plug needs to be when slotting it into the adapter.
