I've got 2 maine coons and their faces arent so pointy as this wee fellas'!
Their tail is large and fluffy 'puffy but dosent end in a paint brush point, more of a feather duster expolsion pouff!
So my money is on NFC but I am no expert.
My 2 maines also have a big fur ruff like a lion around their neck.
Whichever, he is very lovely:)Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Ahhhhhhh! What a stunner. He looks like a Norwegian Forest to me I think Maine Coons have fatter faces and tuftier feet
You have yourself one beauty there though, for sure.:TBellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
Can't see the feet - what are they like?My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Difficult to say - my NFC def has a very triangular face - my MC more rounded. I can't tell! I think I'm being thrown by the fact that he is the same colouring as my MC.
Hoping to adopt a rescue MC cross shortly.....not that it's anything to do with this thread....just a tad excited!Owned by [STRIKE]4[/STRIKE] 4 cats: 2 x Maine coon cross males, 1 x Pixie Bob male and[STRIKE] 2[/STRIKE] 1 x Norwegian Forest male....cute!

he has quite big feet and they are rather tufty... I will try and get a pic later!
He's a funny little thing, won't come to me when called, like the others do. But will happily be picked up, petted and cuddled.
Is very vocal in the evening, wonders round miaowing then the madness of the chase game begins!!Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -
Do you have any idea of age? I have two Maine Coons, and both are quite a lot fluffier around the face and chest than this lad, but for the youngest esecially it did take a while to grow, and she's still, at nearly 2, getting rid of her baby fur and getting her proper coat.
I would say that all the Maine coons I have known have tended to have much hairier ears! My money would be on N/F but it's not easy to tell. The tail is definitely suggesting he's a bit special though! and VERY CUTE!0 -
Norwegian Forest. He's the spitting image of the cat next door.
Maine Coons look more flouncy.
It's not a great snap, but you might be able to see the leading edge of 'lynx' ears. The coat is pretty much self cleaning, she has long feathers on the back of her legs, which look like she's wearing pantaloons and she goes skating down the laminate because the feathery bits coming out between her toes are like wearing a pair of skates.
Oh, and although she has a little face, her feet are HUGE. (so is her bottom, but I wouldn't be so rude as to say it to her). They also tend to make silly trilling noises when you walk in and fall over on their sides in greeting.
This might be more representative of her -I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Oh goodness yes, my maine coons skate all over the laminate flooring it;s quite hilarious to watch sometimes. One of mine is much daintier than the other, but both have HUGE hair paws which they try to use like hands, and an impressive vocal assortment too. Their noises are truly strange and very conversational.
p.s your girl is very cute jojo0 -

What gorgeous cats all of them are!
I'm pretty sure he's a Norwegian Forest cat. He looks very like one of our neighbours' cats. I may be wrong, but I think they generally have a rather long body.0
