Any GPS (well almost) will have a current speed function displayed as digits
  • I remember my friend's parents' J registration Fiat Tipo TDS having a digital dashboard back in the early nineties! I was fascinated by it thought it looked so futuristic! :D

I had one of them as my first car. Tipo 1.6 dsx. When I bought it, the digital dash didn't work so couldn't tell what speed I was doing. At least if I got pulled over by plod and asked "Do you realise how fast you were going back there?" I could legitimately answer "No!"

I would've loved one as my first car! :D

Having grown up on Knight Rider I thought the Tipo's digital dash was amazing!

Try an indica8or. It is a GPS type device that warns of speed cameras but shows actual speed determined by the GPS. The speedo in most vehicles reads several MPH faster than you are actually travelling. See https://www.indic8tor.com
  • you can get a display that plugs into the cars obd socket too and choose what you want displayed on it.
if you have a vauxhall you can sometimes retrofit an astra gte dash, i`ve fitted them to mk2 and 3 cavaliers, mk3 astras and calibras.

Don't know if the modern ones have the same thing but my mk4 fiesta facelift could display the mileage (and other bits and bobs) on the lcd if you held in the trip mileage reset when you started the car.

I had an Astra GTE 16V, that had a complete digital dashboard, including the rev counter, petrol and water temperature gauges. But I've always preferred proper analog gauges.
